BEST sub team ever!

Never had BF2000 figures or vehicles but it seemed like a pretty cool concept of 2 in 1 vehicles half of which form the fortress but I think if Hasbro had made BF2000 it's own line, not part of GI Joe, like Inhumanoids for ex, w/ their own history/and enemies apart from the Joes & Cobra it might have worked better. Maybe taking the entities from Cobra-La building on them adding more. And I know some are saying what about the movie, here's my answer; for the GI Joe movie Destro breaks away from Cobra forming his own faction the IG, goes with the Baroness to steal the BET leading up to a Cobra Civil War Serpentor vs Commander leading to the Joes to have to deal with all factions.

Always good to watch the supercuts. They should play them at Supercuts. I do wonder how long should a toy be constructed to last? I would think 40 years would be past its expected best buy date but a question that always strikes me on modern reviews of vintage toys. Thanks for posting.

I think you should take another look at the Marauder motorcycle tank. As far as predicting future battlefield equipment thus may be their most accurate vehicle. Don't look at it as an armored motorcycle. Look at it as a unmanned tank with a vehicle to tow it to the battlefield. The tank even looks like some of the autonomous tanks just starting to be fielded today.

The helmet accessories Blaster, Avalanche, and Dodger are so friggin hard to track down. Finally got Blaster’s mask, but the other two and hard to find.

On the back of the Dominator there's a sticker that reads 'sn3j'. If you view that as a mirror image, it reads 'jens'. 'Jens' is a common Danish boys' name, and is also used to mean a private in the army - as in G.I. Probably just a coincidence, but several other vehicles had Danish letters on them (Æ, Ø and Å), I think the Rattler did

I always pretended my battle force 2000 were recruited to fight the transformers with their super advanced tech. Or travel into the future to fight skynet. I miss my childhood. Lol

BF2K looked out of place with Joe and as a kid it felt I guess "odd" to have to collect multiple vehicles to own the full "playset?" So I never shed a tear when these noobies took it on the chin and had a big dirt nap. I could see the gimmick working but it having to be retooled a GREAT deal, even just altogether redesigned and sold as one mobile command base that forms 4 or 5 vehicles, like a reverse metroplex or devastator. Perhaps even one or two vehicles being an actual attack motorbike that can be shot out of a small garage through a secret door or ramp, and another just being a chopper that lands on a rotating heli pad that some other vehicle flips up to create and the chopper becomes a huge gun/missile station. Just a nice little FOB. And it could be a nice medium size thing like rolling thunder size or about a lower half of a Terror Drome, without going overboard.

Has it been this long since BF2000 was reviewed. Sky sweeper, Blocker and Dodger were my favorites from this team.

Ok is it just me or did Blaster not make it in the video? I was painting while I was listening to this so I may have missed him but I didn’t think so!

Just a thought but you know what might have worked better for battle force. They should have taken older vehicles and overhauled them with some new parts or new molded pices. Like hypothetically take something like the camp and redesign the roll cage and guns into something more excpirimental looking and genraly do that with other items. It would have saved on some of the cost and looked better. Like youd be able to see parts of what it once was but all see were its an exspirimental vehicle improveing on the gi joes gear

Hmmm just had a thought re the Vector and the circuitry in Maverick's suit and his card, it all makes me think the Vector was supposed to be like Firefox and some of the functions are thought related.

In the UK we only had the figures, not the vehicles. They also didn't have the BF 2000 logo attached to their cards, or any references to the vehicles.

I got the figures in the two packs way back when.

Looking at the commercial for BF2000 and the future fortress, Hasbro really misrepresented the design of the future fortress.

I like the Dominator. I looks nice. I often treated the outer part like extra armour. When it got damaged, shed it and you still have a functioning vehicle.

Can see another exclusive series for some store or stores, if they do them in the classified series .

Battle force 2000 as a group of test pilots for new equipment would have been perfect to fight against Destro. As a weapon supplier, I can see him waging an all out attack on the Joe’s research and development unit. If only the battle force 2000 Design and look has been handled better

So G.I. Joe’s higher ups decided the future would be fought in the snow almost exclusively? To the point where they needed a mobile fortress in the Arctic. I personally think the Arctic Fox is a better snow vehicle.

@39:58 "This is over the top Sci Fi". Yes it does but it looks like over the top Sci Fi from the 50's 😆. These were made in the late 80's. What did "futuristic" look like to us back in the late 80's 🤔? I can't remember and can't think of any examples from other movies / franchises back then. But this certainly ain't it (what the future was supposed to look like.

Always liked the Eliminator. Didn't care for the design of the front guns though.

I always assumed Dodger survived because Larry may have been a Dodger Fan. Just my speculation.

I do wonder if actual interlocking mechanisms for the individual Future Fortress components was even possible for 1987 so we could have that instead of just awkwardly placing the toys next to each other.

They sucked so much Larry Hama killed them all off in a massive oil rig explosion where somehow Dodger survived just in time to be added to Sonic Fighters.

Good to se this again. Funny that you'd pick today, seeing as I'm refitting and rebuilding the BF 2000 force. To me, BF 2000 was always a DARPA spin off that worked specifically in the G.I. Joe command and were the ones that signed off on the equipment and vehicles. I added Gears and a couple of the other sci fi looking guys as testers/ trainers at the tail end of my childhood, a couple years before I joined the Army. In 1987, I was beginning to learn what Alcohol and loose women were for...

Why didn't hasbro ever make any "space force" G.I. Joe toy's with really cool concepts of playset's and figurines with new moulds and accessories . or are these it . and if they are , they did a real sorry ass choice of it.

Those missiles on the Vector are really cheap looking.
