One other question - do you guys run the other diesels at the MHR too? I've noticed a few shots of the 37's on 50027's Facebook page which made me wonder.

Thanks! Andy, I and a group of voluenteers look after Lion, whilst the 37s are looked after by the railway. We help out by letting people know when they're (the 37s) due to run on Facebook.

As far as I know, no - as the majority of locos were designed for operating on the double track mainline where tokens weren't used. It would surely have been a good design feature although I can't imagine where it would be put. That said some routes did have locos equipped with "token catcher " equipment which dealt with the token exchanges automatically. I'm not sure about the storage of those tokens though.
