I watched AIDA in its "natural habitat" in the 4000 year old Temple of Karnak in Luxor in January 1987. It was a fantastic evend to listen to the singers and the performers. Extra ordinary set-up and performances you never should miss.

@@AgathaJoannaJagatayeah. I was working in a Hotel and so I was lucky to attend this performance. During this days the Hotel was fully booked all the time. People coming from around the Globe just for that, it was a very buisy time for all the Hotels.

Quand j'étais jeune, j'ai joué la Grande Marche d’Aida dans un orchestre; c'était spécial et majestueux. Quand j'entends cet air, je ne peux m'empêcher de penser à ma jeunesse. Je jouais de la flute traversière et du piccolo. Bonne écoute.

I was bought up listening to classical music and when I was 8 years old I use to sing this. I thank my parents for bringing such wonderful music into my life. This brings back such happy memories of listening to this with my late Dad.. Thank you for this video... Long live Classical Music as it will stand the test of time...

Mónica L, me recuerdas a mi pequeña hija Maria Luisa a los 3 ó 4 años, cuándo escuchaba cualquier Aria de La Traviata y al mas cercano de sus padres les decia: mami o papi.... La Tavata, la Tavata.... o Camen, o la Mada Butefly y asi un gran etcétera, porque a esa edad, aún no hablaba bien. Mi hija hoy tiene 39 años y ama, adora y degusta de la música clásica y está traspasando a sus hijos lo que mi esposa y yo le entregamos a ella. They are known as fanfare trumpets. Not criticising your lack of knowledge just helping you to increase it. There are so many great pieces. How about Zadok The Priest and March Of The Hebrew Slaves? We could end up with a list as long both your and my arms before we ran out.
