Well, it is natural at this point in history that he has many fans, basically Yu is already a god at that time, firstly he is surely one of the best students at the academic level of the institute, secondly whether it is in the team, be it basketball or soccer, it should already be a well-known figure who is also a friend of his "leaders", thirdly, the fact that he helps many people inside the institute as well as being a small town, gave him that image of being someone very kind and that they can count on him to give him a hand when they need it, without adding to the fact that he basically hangs out with the 4 most popular girls in school (chie, yukiko, riese and naoto)

So let me get this straight... the ONLY reason Naoto won was because she got the all the girls' votes (guessing that the girls make up a larger majority of the student body)?

I think it's not that girls make up more of the student body, but moreso the weight of votes. The girls' votes were almost unanimously towards Naoto, but most likely the boys' votes were a lot more divided: there was probably different portions of votes for Chie, Yukiko, Rise, and Naoto each. Chie, Yukiko, and Rise are all fairly popular among the guys and they all have plenty of male fans so the male side of the student body was probably a lot more split between the girls. Whereas all the girls were charmed by Naoto so most of the female side went for Naoto. So it's probably more that votes from the girls were 90% Naoto, whereas the votes from the guys were divided between each of the girls.

P4G's festival was like...a billion times better than P5's. P5 is my fav, but it had no chill. Everything was related to the Phantom Thieves or nothing.

I get signing Yosuke up for the Cross-Dressing Pageant, but why sign up Kanji and Yu? They had nothing to do with Yosuke signing them up for the Beauty Pageant.

They on,y encouraged the girls to join after the fact. They didn’t actually sign the girls up. In fact, Yu barely participated in the rooftop conversation.

With Yu it is quite meh, since he hardly participates in the conversation and it can even be seen as something incoherent such as showing an extremely cruel side on the part of the girls, since since he can follow Yosuke's game he can also disagree with that , but for her they still punish him despite the fact that in that scenario he was the only one who agreed with her and understood her anger. In fact, I can even imagine Yu after seeing his name on the list and knowing that chie and company forced him to participate, taking a deep sigh and thinking to himself: "seriously, why bother to side with him", while later He leaves there in zombie mode (adding him if he has a girlfriend of any of the three basically makes him a tremendous sellout to the poor thing, since they never said anything or at least they tried to defend him obviously sticking to the scenario where he did not agree xD)

I'm debating who's more like Peko Pekoyama from SDR2 here. Cross dressing Yu? Or Labrys from P4 Arena? Both have gray hair. Labrys had to kill her friends like Peko, but Yu has the braids and the sword. It's a tough choice.

Huh, Teddie spoke the truth, the Naoto-Teddie team really is unstoppable, they both won... I’m still here surprised Naoto was able to do that with Teddie... hmm Edit: oh and this episode is WAY better in the animation than in the game, go check it out, it should be on youtube anyways..
