Milwaukee warrantees their batteries for 3-5 years. Send them in.
@beasyphone

No, they do not. Just got 3 back out of a batch of 5 I sent in. They DID HOWEVER send me a brand new m12 4.0 and a signed note along with all the results/repairs, and explanation as they send with all warranty repairs I've gotten over the years. You can use date code or purchase date. They'll go with whatever keeps you IN warranty if the serial is out but purchase date is within- you're good. 2 years is IT tho

@@beasyphone Yes they do. Took nine 5.0 batteries in and two drills. They looked up the serial number on all. They told me the exact purchase date. Eight batteries were within the time and they took the ninth one anyways. Both drills were replaced for free also.

There are many videos on KZfaq showing the fix. I'm doing it myself. It's a pain but these packs are $$$ so we're motivated. Just takes a $40 LiOn battery charger and two wires.

I had the same problem with Dewalt batteries, I don't use them daily and they can sit for a month at at time. Out of 9 batteries bought in 2021, only two are 100%. I started to buy and adapt the cheap Harbor Freight batteries to my Dewalt and Snap On tools. Although they don't have the run time that the name brand batteries have they don't seem to degrade as bad when they sit. If they do, they're cheap enough to just toss and replace.

6s SOMETIMES, but 8s and 12s are notorious for dropping a cell. Easy enough to repair but yeah. Suckksss. Quite a few if my 8s are "3 barrers" lol. Tbeyre fine enough. Ive fuxed a few others but quit messing with them. Just started investing in 6.0s and 3s which work excellent in Heavy Diesel Dealership setting for me. Good luck Nappy

You should buy only enough batteries that will give you 18 hours of run time, unless you intend to work 24/7. Thats too many batteries . Buy more as you need more.

yes, Take it to the milwaukee service center and get them replace as soon as you can make sure they are under warranty those batch has bad defective cells the early version of Samsung 40T some cells sag latest version of Samsung 40T version 3 seems to solve some of this issue Milwaukee should recall them all they switched to Murata cells which awesome but bad board causing them not able to charge

Drain them down and full charge them again,do that about 2 or 3 times to retrain the cells in the pack,lithium has memory,it's not just the electronics in the batter but the actual lithium does as well.
@riba2233
@riba2233 10 ай бұрын
That is not true, liion cells don't have any kind of memory effect whatsoever. These packs have a lousy management system

I got fed up and left milwaukee started picking up dewalt and never looked back😂 what dewalt is pushing is making them milwaukees feel like a craftsman. Especially there 60v line. Iv got about 7 flexvolts 2 of each 1.7 and 5 amp powerstacks regular 4, 5, and 6 amp xr and have never had this dumb ass issue agian or the battery not charging at all if the the tool didnt fail too

Bad cell, had a 9ah flexvolt did the same thing. The cells dont balance during charging for some reason, "full charge" was at 17.6 volts with 2 of 3 indicators lighting up. It seems to be common with 3p batteries for some reason. Hopefully you get a resolution with these, my 9ah fv was cycled maybe 4 times when my cell dropped.
