One of the cool things you might have missed is that every light in the environment is shootable. Even in the office rooms and armory. And the scene lighting changes accordingly. This is great for stealth games.

I think this game is gonna deliver. You can see that it is a passion project. Its not gonna be a game build around outrageous mtx.

I'm so beyond proud of fry and his team. I played the demo and even though i have my own fair share of thoughts, it's the best demo I've played since trepang2.

A very impressive detail I noticed with the AI at 5:34 was that when you engaged them, the one enemy ran through the doorway then lean peeked it like a player would. AI is looking pretty good for a demo.

The game reminds me a lot about Ready or Not, F.E.A.R. and Max Payne 2 which are all games that I enjoy. The combat looks great. I like the slowmo effects, the ragdolls and bullet effects.

I was introduced to Bigfry via the announcement of this game. It sounded alright. I don't think I'll be into it but I do hope they're successful. The market could use some (non GaaS) milsim type shooters

I remember a similar MP game years ago and my buddy and I were the only players in the end. Don't even remember what it was called. It had aliens and SUPER dark rooms. It had Christmas events, a playable juggernaut type character that sounded like Arnold Swartzenager

This is actually a pretty fantastic demo. I would assume he is planning on making graphics a little bit better (more gritty and realistic than poly/plastic), ragdoll movements, and refining character movement speeds and animations but for a demo this looks amazing

Im glad this is a discussion at all because he, like a lot of other creators, gets away with being hyper critical of others projects. That in itself should be fine but when these types of creators start reaching for flaws in games, creating conflict for views, or worst of all just regurgitating stuff someone else has already posted without fact checking is what really gets things out of hand.

I really love the look and feel of this game. It reminds me of where FPS games SHOULD have gone after groundbreaking sci-fi tactical shooters like FEAR and Crysis. After those games the FPS genre just outright stopped innovating altogether until titlesl ike Tarkov came along. Transience isn't reinventing the wheel but it is sharpening it, and that's about as much as we can expect from an indie studio working on a strict budget with off-the-shelf engine tools and middleware. I love the character movements, weapon handling, and the art-direction so far. Sound design seems to be on-point, and I really hope they can maintain the environment designs to match the concept art, because it looks really cool. Oh yeah, and the soundtrack so far seems awesome. Demo definitely shows promise. So long as they keep working hard and steady I think this will be a sleeper hit for sure. It looks to be a heck of a lot more inspired than any recent AAA FPS.

Been having fun playing the technical demo so far, has me hyped for what the main game is going to be like. Reminds of how fun games used to be when I was a kid, playing the F.E.A.R. franchise, or Black, or Max Payne. It's nice to see a FPS where you can feel the Dev's passion for the game instead of them shoveling out BS to flood the market. Keep it up BigFry!

I like the artstyle of the game, its nothing crazy but it tries to take a different route than other tactical shooters.

The killzone is very Tactical-Assault-VR-esqe… and I love it

with the saturation of indie games entering the fps market, its hard not to notice the similar visual style and jankiness.

Honestly I hope they are gonna use this as a starter for future, multiplayer titles.

Even though my pc was SCREAMING when I ran the game, it was a fantastic experience! I had no complaints at all. The slowmo feels so badass, I love it

Excited to see how this turns out. Only thing I wasn’t a huge fan of was the AI- kinda dumb but that’s par the course for FPS games. Everything else about the demo felt pretty awesome

I'd take Big Fry's claims at face value with not an inch of skepticism compared to the majority of nu age money/data gouging grifters who claim they're game devs and fail miserably to live up to the principles that comes with making a well crafted experience. And from what videogame testplay footage I've seen of Transients on his channel I'd say the man's earned the title.

Bro, the comic book style weapon models look so cool they pop, almost like a Badlands 3 type of game absolute amazing for a demo it's KILLER! & he's got the OG Tarkov Voice over actor. Absolutely amazing the NPCs kinda talk to much tho haha.

If he manages to incorporate a multiplayer system… oh man. I’d suggest, if he has it planned, to keep it at game modes we’re accustomed with. Might sound silly, however the gameplay/animations especially the reload animations & movement gives of HEAVY Cod 4/WaW/MW2 vibes but improved drastically. Things like TDM, search & destroy, domination & free for all would potentially be super fun

With something to prove and being a company not obligated to bring shareholder value it would be easy to beat a big Dev who is publicly listed.

Honestly, this looks a lot better then most AAA games that have come out recently. It would be interesting to see how far this game comes with some more update and tweaking once it gets released.

Not a bad demo from the looks of it. The ability to move your red dot closer to your face to provide a larger window would be nice. That's the only thing I saw that I would like improved. It was really hard to see through that Aimpoint-esque red dot on the Scorpion.

Theres a FPS hardcore as well with comics book style cutscenes. It's A.W.O.L

He doesn’t need to bring a super banging experience. For shooters it is enough: to work properly, don’t fleece you with bajillion microtransactions and if it is fun on top, game is better then 90% of what’s on the market. Then that’s it, I think. Also if he can finish the game within 2 years-ish that would be premium.

I noticed a few things on the demo, which hopefully get fixed: 1. The idle animations for both hands and gun carrying don't really move. 2. When it comes to attachments, they don't seem to bump up the weapon stats at all or at least it doesn't show anywhere. 3. Sometimes, those enemy bodies feel oddly light, and those hand going up needs improvement. 4. Slomo doesn't seem to give the gun animations any effect or at least not as much as you'd want it be. Overall for a demo looks like a solid 10/10

The best thing about BigFry's game is that it's purely singleplayer - it eliminates most potential issues like server problems, balance etc. The moment I heard about it I was way more hopeful for this one than O:HD by BlueDrake, especially after fraud Warfare 1944 was...

I really want to make an Aliens Colonial Marines game that is more like an older Starbreeze / monolith game with an on-character inventory. I feel like because it worked for Alien Isolation it should work for Colonial Marines. Making your marine slow and lumbering and the shooting more realistic would make the game scarier. Cant blame him for wanting to make his own game if he has frustrations with the average fare. But being scathing about it is silly. Devs make products for customers and make them with focus in mind.

i grinded the killhouse a little bit and got a time of 17,46s and well my impressions is that: this game feels very indie, like a low budget Ready or Not. The AI is passable, not bad but not good, the gunplay is 7/10 feels junky in a nice way, but the sights aint done well, and the effects of gunfire seems excessive. Its clearly a demo and features are missing. Have potential but not putting my hopes up on this
