Hey house lovers and explores! If you have the day to sit back and relax then join me on this marathon explore of a very serene and unique location where anything and everything was collected/stored and hoarded by a talented yet eccentric gentleman through his life living here were he built a Utopia for himself to tinker/repair and enjoy his music amongst nature.
Hope you all enjoy the tour, cheers for watching :-)

I paused this at 1 hour so that my 77yo brain doesn't forget what I intend to comment - 😏 In my opinion, the Holden Special is a 1958 FC model and the Holden Belmont ute is a 1971 HG model. The vehicle with the shiny chrome grille is an English Austin Princess, can't be sure of a year. The truck with the letters Fa is a Fargo and the little 'buzz box' is a Mazda 323. Back to the video!

I remember the 'ol Belmont sedans were known as the poor man's Kingswood. To be fair there was hardly any difference. I think one had door arm rests 😊

@@paul7TM correct, Paul. Also, the Kingswood had some chrome work on the body which was not on the Belmont.

It’s a Fargo truck which was the Dodge truck version sold by Plymouth dealers, as they were not permitted to sell Dodge trucks . Both built by Chrysler Corporation. The two seat car, near the end of the video, is a Toyota Celica, about a 1986. The Humber is a Super Snipe model from the late 50’s. Great video!

People that hoard have had some kind of trauma in their life like divorce or death. Some have OCD, anxiety, or depression and just can't part with stuff valuable or not. Its a sad situation that some can't overcome without help. I wouldn't be able to even go to this place and look at all the mess. Thanks Paul cheers 💜☮️

The box near the FC, that looked like a piece of radio equipment was a test set, which would have been used in a radio repair shop. It has a signal tracer one side, & a signal injector on the other. In the middle was a multimeter, used for voltage, current & resistance measurement. He certainly had an eclectic collection of stuff!

I'm sorry, Paul, I got a half hour in and am disgusted by the mess left for wildlife to get stuck and injure themselves on or in, the chemicals left to harm the environment, the sheer amount of crap left just to be garbage- this is nasty and is in no way Utopia. More power to the people who enjoy watching hoarding types of things, but this man had serious issues, and it's sad, that no one helped him, or the environment once he departed. I'm glad you're safe- you could just have easily slipped on anything crunchy and come down on a sharp piece of metal. Thank you for the long explore, for those who really like this sort of thing- it's just not my thing, at all- but, of course you still get a like, and comment for the algorythim!!!!!!

I wonder if the old guy actually knew the potential market value of what he had. Sure there’s lots of pure rubbish but there’s also lots of very collectable items and recyclable metals there as well. Id love to have the salvage rights to this place. The “small tank” is actually a Ferret Scout Car, as used by the Commonwealth Military Forces and quite collectable and rebuildable despite the rust as it’s very intact . Once more, in my opinion ... the Rambler Cross Country is a 1964 model with a Torqueflight automatic transmission. My dad had the '660' sedan version with the same transmission. These were built by the American Motor Company. The Humber is a 6 cylinder Super Snipe model, again around 1964 vintage. There was a 2 door Morris Minor, Toyota Celica LT about mid 1970s and as thought, a Subaru Leone. Those Series 1 Land Rovers were heart breaking to see in their condition!

Wow, I could spend a year going through that place, so much to see!!! Between scrap metal value and sell-able items, that's a small fortune rotting in the woods. The "little tank" is a Daimler Ferret Scout Car, Built in England between 1952 and 1971. They were used by the armies of over 40 countries for reconnaissance. Australia used them from 1953 until 1970, and then sold them at public auction, which is probably how it ended up there. Like most old military vehicles, it is only getting more valuable by the year. Inside of the very first camper you went inside, that thing in the drawer you thought might be a fan or filter is actually the carousel for a slide projector. You would load photographic slides in each of the slots and load it on the projector. It had a wired remote control and would project your photographs on a wall or screen like an old movie projector. The Rambler station wagon was built by AMC (American Motors Company). My Dad had a Rambler when I was a kid. The last Rambler sold in the USA was in 1969, but the name continued in other markets around the word. The 1600 LT car is a Toyota Celica I have a question for you Paul. I have noticed that almost every old car we see in your videos are very badly rusted. Here in the USA we mostly see that kind of terrible rust through in areas where they have snow because they salt the roads and areas near the ocean because of the ocean salt. Sometimes you see it if a car sits under a tree and has years of leaves or pine needles piled on it holding moisture. Is there any reason in particular? Having never had opportunity to visit Australia I don't know if it's just super humid and rainy or what? Just curious. Thanks for another great video. I really hope somebody can salvage all that before it is destroyed by rust and rot.

Brilliant explore, thanks Paul, it had me captivated till the end. While architecture is only reflected in the leadlight cabinets, the whole scene reflects a fascinating life lived, with every item adding to the story. The old fella must'vee really enjoyed his solitude. So many classic vehicles, starting with the chunk of 1935 Pontiac at the start. The old bus is a mid-40s Fargo, closely related to Dodge, while the truck down near the Kombi was a WW2 Chev. Those WW2 trucks were often painted in a khaki green which fades to a chalky mustard colour over the years. The car with the newspapers in the back is a 1958-60 Holden FC. Love the Ferret scout car, it is the real deal, used by the army from the mid-50s to about 1970. That psychedelic 'BORED' Bedford is great, along with the psychedelic green 1971 Holden HG ute seen earlier. The Rambler brand was not very popular compared to the 'Big Three' of GM, Ford, and Chrysler, the station wagon is about 1964-65. Thanks for sharing these great explores with us.

The fan filter in the drawer was a slide photograph holder from a slide projector. The Holden Belmont Ute is a pretty rare car find.

The cars were cool but that Rambler was awesome! His taste in music wasn't too bad...well except for the Joni Mitchell.

This place would be a scrapper's paradise if allowed to clean it up and get the metal worth saving. Probably would take a year or so to do it. This was very interesting, must took them years to collect all of this.

That car at 46:09 is mad. I've never seen one with a drink/snack tray like that & the chrome grill is nuts. I've had to stop & start this epic explore a few times. I'm a mid 60's model but I don't know what car that is. I liked the old HQ Belmont ute with 3 on the tree, had the sedan model of it in maybe '85. The Holden glove box lids often had that 3? cup holder shape things that were great to mull up in LOL Yeah I did.

@@andrewcongdon Thanks, it must have been a beautiful thing . Maybe there were not many around. I was born in the 60's & don't remember ever seeing one like this. I like old cars that are made of metal. Stuff these days all look alike & are boring or ugly.
