Dan is quite the performer. Even if you’re not into this type of genre, you have to appreciate his performance. Personally, this is one of my many favorites. Dan is the only artist I am aware of, that can sing and perform any genre like this. Thank you once again for your reaction and support of the amazing Dan Vasc!

Thank you for your commentary on this performance. In order to understand the person, the man in this case, we must look at all sides of him. Yes, he loves metal and yes he has brought along a lot of us on that journey, but he loves other genres of music too. His dad loved Andrea Bocelli and he would sing a lot of the operatic songs with his Dad in the car, etc.. I understand him a little more from listening to all his music choices. Did you know he sings in the following languages: English, Brazilian Portuguese (native tongue), Latin, Italian (father's side), German (fans tribute), Spanish and are you ready for this, Japanese (two songs on his channel). I only wish there was a way we could help him more with elevating his career. As a fan, I have shared, liked, purchased and listened to his music. I believe he is a private person who is comfortable where he is. But maybe he may have to take some of his own advise and do something a little different. You seem like a person who may be able to influence him to try a different approach to bring him to a larger audience whilst still maintaining his values. Yes, I would travel to almost anywhere to see him perform in concert, but he does not have the ability to do this currently, no organization, no ability to travel to North America due to visa waits, etc. Maybe we could find a way to do a paid concert on-line for him. I would pay whatever he wanted to see him on You tube or on another platform performing his songs. We could help him raise needed funds to take his career to the next level. He is still almost a one man show with the ability to pay others to help, but as you can see he arranges, performs and mixes a good portion of his material. He seems like a humble man. Take care and thank you. Music does bring us all joy and it does brings us all together in this forum to enjoy and appreciate the music of this most passionate person.

Christ is in the Garden of Gethsemane basically "bargaining" with God about having to give up his life to free us from our sins...Dan at his best! I'm SO happy you took a chance on this. Everybody who sees this one, and The Music of the Night, says "this guy belongs on Broadway." And I don't disagree at all, although I doubt if he would care to work repetitively like that. (And also, metal is his main love. Maybe someone someday will write a metal opera for him?) As you say, the performance as performance is incredibly impressive - so committed, expressive, emotional. And vocally this showcases so many of the different colors of his voice, with even a few metal techniques mixed in with the classical style - that metal fry on "nail me to the CROSS and break me" shatters me every time. At this point you might want to try a straight opera aria - Nessun Dorma, from the opera Turandot. The duet Time to Say Goodbye is also lovely and in a classical style, although we Dan fans all probably agree that there's not enough Dan in it! This scene shows his gift for theatricality, which he carries over into many of his songs. I'll Make a Man out of You and Burn Butcher Burn are both little gems of character creation in addition to being vocally spectacular. Thanks again!!!

Huge Dan fan here and I absolutely think that he could perform on Broadway. Btw…..Gethsemane is get-sem-a-knee. Anyway, Jesus Christ Superstar is a phenomenal rock opera musical (even though I’m not particularly religious). You mentioned Bruce Dickinson vibes…..(Iron Maiden was my first concert when I was 12 in 1983. Saw them two more times). I think that’s why his cover of Number of the beast is so incredible. I've seen Jesus Christ Superstar live many, many years ago. I've also watched at least three "performances" on YT. No one comes close to Dan Vasc! NO ONE! For me, Dan's ability to convey emotion was always through his eyes. I miss that in some of his newer videos. Thanks for recreating your reaction!

Dan is phenomenal beyond!❤❤ He's easily Broadway material but what we must remember, is that Dan doesn't want to be tied down to anyone's business contracts. You mentioned the "chest hair". I've seen someone saying they wish he could iron his shirt etc. First of all, the material that his shirt is made of, is not meant to be ironed. Yes he probably could do a play, just don't see him doing one. Well rounded artist and gifted young man. Dan will go along way,with all his talents. But if decides it would be his own one he has written, and on his terms too.

You mentioned Bruce Dickinson. Dan does a version of “Tears of the Dragon” that I like even better than the way Bruce did it. He does mess up on a lyric, singing “watch” instead of “wash”. I don’t even care about that. It’s still incredibly stunning. Highly recommend you watch it.

I'm not one for criticism and as a subscriber I like the content of your comments but please, there is a limit to the number of times one can interrupt a performance before all continuity and emotional impact is lost. Especially true for such dramatic performances as this one and also if your viewers haven't yet seen the video. Almost all reactors interrupt and that is as it should be but chopping a song to small bits can be frustrating from my perspective. However I love your enthusiasm and emotional responses and I love that you like Dan so much.
