Jordan said..”anybody can score 25 points in a game. The thing is to score 25 points every night, and be consistent”..yeah anybody can have a good game but doing it over and over again is what separate the great players from average players.

With all due respect, the craziest parts of this story are missing. 1) MJ made up a story about how Smith was mocking him after the game. "Following the game, Jordan claimed that Smith mocked him by saying, "Nice game, Mike...[...] Jordan admitted years later that Smith never made the "nice game" comment. He made it all up. He apparently just needed more motivation to get Smith back for embarrassing him." 2.) Jordan promised to match Smith's 37 the next night....BY HALFTIME!! He came short by one point because he (unbelievably) missed one free throw that would have given him the 37 at halftime. "In the second game, this time at the Bullets' Capital Centre, Jordan almost followed through on his promise as he scored 36 points by halftime. He would finish with 47 and his Bulls cruised to a 126-101 victory." I think it's crazy how effortless he made it look while going after that goal.

...Everyone understands that there were several players over Jordan's career that had good games against Jordan right? Penny Hardaway once scored 38 on the Bulls, Grant Hill had like 34 points on a triple-double, Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf had like 38, Rex Chapman (with the Suns) had like 39, Jamal Mashburn had 50 (and yes I'm aware they didn't play the same position) This is no to diminish what Jordan was defensively, in my estimation (at his position) the greatest defensive player to ever live. But he was human as were the Bulls. There were just nights were a guy had there number. Which usually still ended up as a loss to the Bulls.

Destroyed? Nah. A great game yes. I saw that game and MJ may have taken him for granted and promptly made up for it in the next game of that back to back in LaBradford's building.
@AATWT115 жыл бұрын
Chapman guarded MJ that game so he never really got LaBradford back.

Terry Bogard Bulls won both games. Jordan had 25 and 47 the next night. It’s really a fabricated story

Cut it out mannn! LaBradford was a monster going back to the Louisville days. Between LaBradford Spencer, and Holder they almost took it to UNLV (89, 90, and 91). This was no surprise.

That first clip, that was ILLEGAL defense that Jordan was playing. But refs didnt call it, if course.
@seancagney13694 жыл бұрын
As they don't call things today like traveling etc., that is what the refs seem to do to suit their stars.........

The player who give more problems to MJ and that's MJ words was Mitch Richmond (underrated 2 that in today ball he could be best 2 un heart after MJ himself)

Jordan didn't have a bad night he just got owned that night. I mean for someone who traveled and couldn't be touched or it was a foul. Some guys did him Starks slammed on him posterized Jordan a beautiful dunk. Go Dr.J the real airness
