Wellesley congratulation once more for highlighting Jamaica’s crafts, and talents. Mr. Isaiah needs to allow different Schools to visit his workshop to learn the skill. He needs to launch out in making cooking pots. People in Morocco, Mexico, and other countries use them too. He could even make Spoon rest, utensil holders, trivets, etcs. This gentleman is super talented and was just waiting to get some exposure. He needs a craft store for his pottery. Wellesley Keep Up The Good Work. Blessings.

Again another awesome vidio. Jamaica is not short on talent, give them the opportunity and watch them trive. And to the host you're such a down to earth person, always making your guess feel relaxed and comfortable no airs about you my fellow country man. Awesome couple they're both so knowledgeable about what they do. Like Miss Isaiah said the only problem is the crime. He should try and pass on that valuable craft to a male relative or another trusted young person who wants to learn. Great job. Nice to see Bridget lending her support and enjoying the whole thing. Big up all. T

WOW Wesley, another amazing find!!!! Jamaica is loaded with creative talented people. I cannot believe that Mr. Isiah doesn't use a potters wheel!!! This SHOCKED me to the core!!! The raw talent is truly unmatched anywhere!!! He is indeed SPECIAL!! But Wesley your commentary was hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I was in awe at the talent but dying with laughter at your expressive commentary. Jamaican tourist board should hire you because you are a national treasure 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Two questions: 1: can colored pigment be added to creat other colors. For instance, can a blue pigment be added to the clay during creation to add speckles of color? 2: if a pot gets broken, can it be reused (broken down and added to other clay). Or is it the fact that once it has been fired it cannot be reconstituted and reused. 3: what about rainy weather? How do they remain durable and intact if they are constantly being drenched by rain?
@clovisstephens1699
@clovisstephens1699 2 жыл бұрын
No you cannot add color before it fired, but you can always paint it afterwards or put vanished of any color you like..... for your second question the answer is no once the pot is broken it cannot be reuse... once the pot is fired it is durable enough to stand any weather so if it gets a lot of water it is ok the pot itself absorb the water like the earth.

I would like to suggest for the summer to have a summer camp of pottery making from worldwide where his student can come to Jamaica for the summer and learn this incredible craft. Please this gentle man to do this, he would create jobs for the air B&B in the area. Please please it is such a great cultural experience. Bridgette could be the bridge in starting the process. Such a beautiful and talented couple, I love their humbleness. Cool guest also, I'm glad she enjoyed herself and safe travels. Before we had a refrigerator, our cool drinking water used to be stored in a large clay water barrel under our dining room table... sweetest drinks of water I ever had. That water barrel was made by my great- great grandmother. Trelawny does have some great quality deposits of clay throughout the Parish.
