Here's what I think. It breaks my heart thinking it may end like this. Now that they have revealed that Jang Uk has the power to remove Buyoen's soul and save Naksu. He will be faced with the biggest dilemma to either save Naksu's soul or Buyoen's soul. Giving up Buyoen's soul is not an option for Jang Uk as this will destroy Jinwoyon and it will cease to exist without Buyeon and create chaos. In this case Jang Uk will sacrifice Naksu and ask Buyoen to take out the ice stone so he can finally unite with Naksu. The only way I see this ending happily is if Buyoen somehow sympathizes and surrenders her divine powers to Naksu (not sure if this is even possible) or Buyeon agrees to coexists with Naksu's soul which we know is not possible so far or Naksu's/Buyeon's soul is shifted to another body saving both. I want a happy ending so bad. It's the best kdrama I've watched till date.

I was really upset after watching twenty five twenty one and I made up to myself not to watch any series before it ends . But this one was something unresistive and I watched them all during this festive holidays. But just to see that there's high hope of naksu being gone and a war to be emerged that alot of mages will die puts my heart in vain again. Hope somewhere they bring up a good ending. I've read some theories that it was naksu's body and core energy. Remember jinmu asked his men to enter songrim and get naksu's body to cover up his wrongdoings for bringing up an assassin. And remember before buyeon/naksu entered the prison to get the jinyowon plaque. Jinmu said, those who performed and petrified souls are locked inside that prison. Originally, Naksu who performed alchemy of souls had the possibility that her body was in the prison and IF, it was her bones with her core energy as (every mages has core energy) there's a possibility if she remembers herself and swallows her core energy instead of buyeon kicking naksu's soul from her body it might be naksu kicking buyeon and taking over her body and regain her original power as an assasin. Finally, an episode that was satisfying to watch from beginning to end. It felt so much more longer, because lots of things happened. I liked the sequence of scenes in this one. T_T Story moved at a satisfying pace. Unfortunately, we only have 2 more episodes and that's it. Ugh. T_T

I think they are the reincarnation of Master Seo Gyeong (the founder of Songrim)and his love (Seol-Ran) who didn't get a happy ending last time so fate is intervening this time around. Or at least their story will be key - why the ice stone wasn't destroyed. The turtle must be important too but don't ask me how. Maybe another reincarnation?

As much as I don't want to say it, here it is. The only way to get another Ice Stone is if the world is plunged into chaos. The only way to do this would be to release the fire bird. Fire bird will be released, second ice stone will come as well. With the second ice stone Naksu will have her body revived and live with the Ice Stone inside her same as Jang Uk. The two live happily ever after.
