He was being intelligently cautious. I think it was a combo between the stop, my shortcoming of not giving him some trail beta, and Katy being maybe a little too close. 😆

Oh man, I wish I could have made it for Snow Summit also! Skypark was just an awesome day! That crash with Katy is giving me flashbacks 😂 to when joe did that to me haha. 🤘👍. I gotta start working on my video soon

Dangerous move Joe did on Miracle stopping on the edge of the feature knowing Katy was following… I would be pissed if I was her. He doesn’t seem to be a newbie either, so it’s odd he did that. Glad everybody is alright! Rode one last time today at SS, dirt was amazing! Hopefully it will reopen… 😥

Northstar bike park in Lake Tahoe would be a great idea !! That was the first bikepark that I ever saw. I remember seeing all the bikes, and the gondolas taking the bikes up , I never knew that a place like that existed, I remember I said” you can do that on a bike?”….Got my mountain bike the very next week! I am54 years old. #nevertoolate

If the Calirado kid knows Downieville that’s where you need to go. There’s no possible way that you’re not going to have a rad day in Downieville. You’ll have to wait until the state opens the forests back up but as long as you get up there by October you should be ok.

Unfortunately, all the good trails by Joe are either on fire or has bad air quality at the moment. Hopefully it gets better. 😕 We could use that rain over here. Santa Cruz is still good. Try UCSC if you like steeps.

So bummed to wake up this morning and find out ALL National Forests in the state are closing until Sep 17th. Many Snow Summit plans are now shot not to mention the financial impact on the staffs. Will just have to survive on MTB Alan vids for a bit.

It's not great news, and I feel for the staff up there. They're so cool. But hopefully it'll be for the better. Would hate to see a bunch more homes go up in flames. Ha! I was just thinking I'm gonna have to survive on my videos too. 😆

@@mtb_alan Well you got epic views in Lake Tahoe along the flume trail and you might be able to ride over to North Star and make it an insane shuttle/park day. MTB Tahoe Odyssey - not even sure if its possible to connect back into North Star through incline village.. Can it be done? It would be something like 30miles just to get into northstar 🙉 Flume can be made into a 10 mile warm up with some shuttling

@@mtb_alan hoot, Scott’s flat and pioneer. Downhill trails. Pioneer is my favorite. It’s a channel with jumps on each end. It reminds me of a snake run at a skatepark. There’s a few other trails there that I haven’t rode yet.
