heck yeah, we hit all those and you were spot on. I will say I hit the upper blacks and even a couple of doubles the first day out, and that was a huge mistake. It was so overwhelming it almost wrecked what little confidence I had. I spent all of day 2 jumping and on blue tech then had an awesome bro who had been up there 4 days prior show me some proper lines with proper follow speeds. From there on it was a full day of awesome tech mostly solid blacks but also some of the same , if not exactly the same doubles you showed. RAD Footy. I haven't even begun to edit yet. seems overwhelming ! Maybe august lol

Great, a reviewer has given the GoPro the win based on custom recording settings creating a better image, by entirely ignoring the custom settings menu that is available in the Action 3... @1:54, you need to look in that "PRO" button on the top right.

@@mtb_alan I want to take stills from the footage on mtb ride, I will shoot at 1080P 99% of time, so I am confused. OA3 offers better battery life but stills from it are said to be worse than GP10. But GP10 has worse battery. Both are in sale, GP10 costs $40 more. Too many comments / videos on GP10 overheating (is it paid promotions?), I can't tell. I live in north India, so maximum it can get 40C and on avg its 22-30 most of year. Please advise.
@mtb_alan4 күн бұрын
Regarding overheating, I would say it's not a real concern. The cases where people were seeing overheating were unrealistic cases where the camera was running for an extended period, indoors, and with no airflow. As far as stills from the footage, if that's your goal, then you will want to film in at least 4K. Regardless of the camera, pulling a still from 1080 video is gonna produce low-quality results. And I think between the Action3 and the GoPro HERO10, the HERO10 is gonna deliver a higher quality image...especially if you film at 4K. And even better if you record at 5.3K on the GoPro. And as far as battery, the DJI does have better battery life. But in practical terms, I don't find that the somewhat shorter battery life of the GoPro causes me any issues. The batteries are small and easy to carry, and for a full day of shooting for me, I carry one extra battery and only sometimes need to use it. I will say though that the HERO12 manages battery consumption better than previous models. And it is probably worth it to spend the extra money on the HERO12 since it should last several years before you need to upgrade. That's my opinion anyway.

Mountain biking has the following: cross country, cross country short track, cross country marathon, trail riding, enduro, downhill, and gravity. I might have missed some other disciplines. Interesting to see some people generalized cycling. I also need to get a DH bike. Giants look nice. I am 5’-7” and Giant has some funny sizes. I think I would need a small 😊

@BadMoFoRising9 күн бұрын
@@mtb_alan I’m asking the question also if a white person did that how would that affect them? They would be called a racist
@mtb_alan9 күн бұрын
I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and answer your question. I state that I am dark skinned because I know that people of color can be reluctant to get into MTB because this sport is still predominantly white. And I have been told by many people of color that seeing my content made them feel more welcome in this space. Sure, it might turn off some people for me to call out that I'm dark skinned. But I'm brave enough to be who I'm gonna be especially if it helps increase the diversity in this sport. As to your second question, I don't think they would be called racist by any reasonable person. I can think of plenty of content creators, comics, entertainers, etc. that talk about their whiteness without issue. But I suppose some people would call them racist. And they would probably be the same people who would have a problem with me calling out the color of my skin.
@BadMoFoRising9 күн бұрын
That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard you’re 50 years old There’s hundreds of Mexicans out there. I am one of them that are mountain bike riders. I did not feel intimidated by a white person whatsoever. And people that are influencers are entertainers or etc. like you mentioned on your second paragraph would be demolished on social media for saying some shit like that. Imagine Trump saying hi I’m Donald Trump and I’m white skin.
@mtb_alan9 күн бұрын
It's great that you didn't feel intimidated. But not everyone is you. I'm also guessing that you might be in SoCal? If so, I know we have a pretty diverse MTB community here. I'm grateful for that. But even here, I have heard from other people of color how they have felt uncomfortable and that they appreciate seeing other people of color on screen. Again, not everyone is having the same experience as you. And there are plenty of other places where the MTB population is pretty monochrome. You don't have to travel far to see it. Also, your mention of Trump is a non-sequitur. Trump is a politician. Not in the same category as content creators, comics, entertainers, etc. What I find interesting is that you're fixated on a single phrase in a 30 minute video. Maybe this isn't about me.

Quick question why do you think you lost traction on that paver berm? Did you come in at too much of an angle? Too much sand on the pavers? I'm always worried about losing the front wheel on those pavers lol
@mtb_alan9 күн бұрын
Good question. Yeah, I reviewed the footy, and normally I come into that paver berm further to the right and higher up. That keeps me out of the dust. When I crashed, I was a fair bit more inside and rode right through a big dusty patch...and it also squared off the berm a fair bit.
