All the people saying Yingluo loved either Fu heng or the emperor seem to think that you can only love one person in your life. I personally think she loved both of them. Fu Heng was her young love, her uncomplicated and sweet love. The kind of love we all wish for. Her love for the emperor was more complicated. It grew over time as she began to appreciate him and he her (i mean I know he "liked" her before but he only slowly started to appreciate her for who she is). He began to understand why the first empress was so attached to Yingluo: Yingluo represents freedom within the chains and the cage of the Forbidden City. She is also absolutely loyal and though she is clever and will play the game, she only does so when she has to. When she wants to protect somebody. She learned that he is a man who can never show his emotions because he is the emperor. So instead of demanding a declaration of love like all the other consorts and concubines she just teased him and gave him a space to let out some of his feelings. She never demanded what he felt he couldn't give. They started to operate on the asumption that they both love eachother and that actions speak louder than a thousand words. Where all his counselors and ministers just always brought news and urged him to do one thing or another, she just listened to him and he knew he could tell her because she is absolutely loyal. He knows she is as she has proven this over and over again with the people she cares/cared about. I think she decided to give him her unconditional love because she realized that he needed a person like her in his life. In a sense she took pity on him. Fu heng loved her and she loved him and they both knew this. They both gave up on living out that love openly because of their love and care for their nation and the emperor. both Fu Heng and Yingluo were absolutely loyal and they gave their most precious treasure to the emperor. I think the emperor knew that and because he knew he had been give a treasure worth more than anything in the world he started to treasure something in his heart. In the end I think the three of them were connected by a friendship deeper than the sea but forever unspoken. But both Yingluo and Fu Heng know they gave up their greatest treasure for the emperor and so in the next life they will keep it (the treasure) to themselves. I don't think they regretted their choices in the end. You can love more than one person, but once you choose you must be loyal. That's what seperates friends from your lover. Yingluo made her choice and was loyal. I think it is a beautiful message.

知己比愛人感情更深...這段真的很感人....整部劇最感人的，瓔珞和傅恆得到彼此的心，不必相守，就到永恆的情感，彼此愛的乾淨...

None of them went hysterical in the last scene... Fu Heng's death was not shown... Almost no tears fell from the characters. But the PAIN was felt. Now that's what we call a good and truly heartfelt drama 😭

Alright everyone I have this to say. If you ever find someone in your life like Fuheng that loves you unconditionally and is willing to do anything in their power to protect you even at the cost of their life? Never let go of them because that is the definition of true love I don't think I've ever cried so hard like I did hearing Fuheng's last words to Wei Ying Lou.

"Wei Ying Lou , I have protected you my whole life , I'm tired . In the next life , will you protect me instead?" Saddest part ever 😭 this made me cried so hard 😭😭😭

Fu heng is her greatest love. When fu heng's request for marriage to her was not granted. He married another woman to save her from the king's jealousy. Even when the queen was still alive, the king already like her. When Yinglo planned for revenge, she accepted the fact that she cant be with fu heng. Though she used the king to get her revenge, she respected him. She is a woman of virtue, didnt involve herself with two men at the same time.

Wei Ying luo and Fuheng Love Story is an example of "Pinagtagpo pero di' Tinadhana."

The most tragic thing about this is that Ying Luo can never love freely, nor mourn, for the one man she truly loved. But I guess it's already a blessing in disguise. Since she's already taken by the Emperor, this will make it easier for her to finally open up her heart fully to the one she's tied to. Of course, Fu Heng will always occupy a special place in her heart, but for her happiness and safety's sake, this worked out well for her. At least, Ying Luo was able to cherish and be cherished by a love so pure. So in return, she'll overflow with it and will be able to share it with others. Fu Heng has given and taught her the purest kind of love, and holy sh!t I am fvcking crying.

I always felt after watching this that she never truly loves the Emperor but she is a survivor so uses him and his feelings. Like she never hates the Emperor but also doesn't truly love him. She always loved Fuheng but knew they couldn't be together.

不是只有大哭大鬧才能表現出傷心難受，有些是壓抑在心裡，不會讓人輕易察覺內心的悲痛，雖然當音樂響起時還是忍不住落下眼淚，最終傅恆是以相遇時的美好樣子留存於心

所有人都說他這裡演得不好不夠傷心 我卻覺得這個編排超級好 他的看似沒有反應的反應和支開眾人以後才說好，把魏櫻絡的角色個性刻劃的很飽滿 她本來就不是普通的女生，不是遇事哭哭啼啼的那種，他是看似無情其實情長，任性固執有原則，無畏口無遮攔卻又不輕易把心事說出口的人，所以這個反應很符合角色的個性啊。人家富恆都懂還笑了 ，觀眾看了七十集還不懂也足見櫻絡這腳色的確就不是人見人愛，也不是人人會懂的角色，不只是放在過去，即使放在現代，觀眾不也跟裡面的人一樣不懂她嗎

Fu Heng love her despite knowing she can never be with him. He loves her even without asking anything in return. When she agreed with his request, it wasn't out of guilt or anything. That's what she truly felt. She will love him, even without getting anything in return, for someone like Yin Lou who always think of what she might get - her promise to him means a lot.

i think one of the rare things about this drama is that i root for yingluo and qianlong as much as i root for yingluo and fuheng. i think that even though yingluo didn't fall for qianlong the way she did for fuheng, she still loved qianlong nonetheless. fuheng was good for her in the way that he soothed and comforted her the best, he could calm the massive anger within her. qianlong, on the other hand, was also good for her in the way that he is almost her male counterpart, he could go against her head to head and brought the best out of her. yingluo herself said that she enjoyed fights, the more she fought the more energetic she became, and qianlong was the best person to bring out that energy in her. so it's like she was destined to have two soulmates after all, and that was what this wonderful girl deserved.

For me was like she had her first love Fuheng then when they couldn’t be together she accepted it ... may in the beginning she had to accept be the concubine of the emperor but she Fall also in love with him ... for me I was happy that she was with the emperor because they booth strong people who complete each other ... and this remembers me always in my first love with 18 we where so much in love but life had other plans and we get separated, it was hard but when I looked back that was a reason it happened so I could let it go ... my second love Partner I never thought that we came together because of sooooooo much different but life had other plans and we fall in love and stood together in a respectful loving relationship till he died with 52 ... so back to this drama it was 2 different love but she loved both men now I rewatch it already 4 time I love it so much

2:40 in that moment, they both knew that that was a lie. Yingluo knew she was fading, and the emperor could sense it too. When it’s a person you have strong feelings for, you just know. Perhaps, if it weren’t for Fu Heng, that really would have been their last moment together. Yingluo may have loved Fu Heng more, but she also loved the emperor. Maybe it’s not as strong and bot as pure as her love for Fu Heng, but it is still love.

Never watched the drama. Only seen a few clips of Fu Heng and Yingluo and this scene is powerful enough to break my heart. Fu Heng’s last words hold so much pain, sadness and love. It breaks my heart they couldn’t be together in “this” lifetime. I need an afterlife of Fu Heng and Yingluo but a happy ending to fix my broken heart.

Fu Heng is Yingluo's first love and greatest love. But Ying Luo is now in love with the emperor. She knows that she loves the emperor when she starts getting jealous to Chenbi and she see her as a threat not only because of the emperor's favour but in emperor's heart. So thats why she let herself to get pregnant because she knows shes now in love to emperor. Yingluo and emperor's relationship is a matured relationship. They understand each other so well.

I really believed that Fuheng is her great one true love, I remember Fuheng saying he could not accept his maid's love in his next life when his personal maid died and confessed to him, same with Yingluo she said she promised to protect him.

This scene made me cry more than any other. He loved her so much he sacrificed himself to save her 😭😭😭

I'm really not into harem politics...I hate women's politics and how men are manipulated by women just because they are women...The emperor's character I hated the most...he was really fooled by Wei Ling luo if we talk about feelings...No doubt she paid her duties well...I would say she used the emperor very well...I only started watching this drama cuz I heard Xu Kai got popularity through this drama and his character was loved by many...and yeah his character was beautiful...i really loved what Wei ling luo said to the empress that she blindly loved the emperor but her mistake was to speak first, who speaks first is already lost...huh...what kind of self centered emperor, he wanted to be worshipped...he always got easily whoever he wanted that's why Wei Ling Luo played hard to get and captured his attention and that's what the emperor calls love...really stupid!....Love is what fu Heng's character portrayed...The definition of love is Sacrifice and Selflessness, that's what moves the hearts and this is what touched Wei ling Luo in the end...She did so many things for the emperor( though inwardly she always have her own plans and intentions too) it was easy fr the emperor to like her...what did she do for Fu Heng??? but he gave her his heart as well as his life.

Looking back at it, I do understand Wei Yingluo's feeling towards the Emperor and Fuheng. I just know. Been there.
