I don't know what the problem with all these exercises, on youtube it works instantly, after one/two days , in reality I've been doing many of them for months and the pain still exsit. And I know someone would say you're doing it wrong, the thing is I know about biomecanics of muscles and I can feel the muscle I want to activate or stretch and still no significant change in pain or posture Another point, is I have never seen someone who changed his posture because of doing some exercises for few times Rather, the change usually comes with time by paying attention to the posture during day

Ya, that is solving my off and on multiple year pain! The rotator exercises and I had posterior stretch and stuff so I could get back in capsule proper and tip the shoulder blade proper before I do the exercises. It's shaping up already! ( do lat and chest stretches too as well)

Also, dont underestimate the power of massage. I had a ton of pain and tension in the same back of the shoulder area and didnt realize how tight the long head of my biceps was. Got it realeased at massage and my pain immediately eased and shoulder started moving back from being so rolled forward. Small muscle but biiiig implications if theyre tight since they attach at the shoulder.

Lateral raises is the worst exercise you could do with shoulder pain
@nazem200

The way this is done is the angle actually targets the lower traps and muscles around the shoulder blade more than the lateral delts, so this should be helpful to overall shoulder stability

You could make a career in me! Similar problem. Tight bicep tendon on right side, wants to "pop out" of the groove doing pullups/overhead lifting. In addition to doing these types of accessory drills, I have lowered the weight in all exercises and really exaggerate keeping the shoulder tight in the socket.

Could be labral repair like a SLAP tear where the biceps tendon originates and causes a peel back mechanism. Still a pretty dumb diagnosis. It would have been a tendinosis with a 4 year time span, anyways. What was the diagnosis you provided, Aaron?

You can actually see an inflammation if you perform ultrasound of MRT. So I doubt that someone would be blindly diagnosed with a tendonitits. However, I agree that a surgical procedure can be avoided in most of the cases by fixing movements or posture with physiotherapy. The guy in the video is just lucky that he felt better instantly. If you really suffer from tendonitis it will take a while and patience to get rid of the pain.

@Direblade11
@Direblade11 Жыл бұрын
I am a Massage Therapist and a physio will know better, but: I would simply call this a weakness in your external rotator muscles. The edge of your shoulder blade closest to your armpit has most of your individual muscles used for internal and external rotation of the arm, so the pain in weak muscles would be there. The pain could also very likely be the posterior region of your deltoid or a bursa/tendon nearby. This little paragraph is to inform people, and should not be used as a guideline to improve your own health without consulting a physical health professional who can assess you. All you really need to know for starting a rehabilitation process is, "what motion is weak/painful when doing it." From there you can do simple, light, exercises that you could do a lot of without pain. Slowly build up, first increasing reps, then increase weight while reducing reps, and back. Never to the point of pain. P.S. if you're a person who needs this medical advice, PLEASE go to a physiotherapist to work on an easy exercise plan. Good personal trainers and rare massage therapists will be able to help you too.

@@Direblade11 Possible. It could also be an impingement of the long head of the biceps in the shoulder. This can be caused by weak lower traps and/or rhomboids as well as a weak rotator cuff. Again, a PT should be able to better diagnose anyone having these symptoms. I’ve found most doctors are not good at diagnosing specific issues. The good ones will refer you to PT before considering surgery.

Am i having the same problem? I was really fat and sedentary and heavy weight and started working out of no where. I went straight into chin ups no other training, from .5 second dead hangs now to 6 chinups in a row. Last month on my last chin up a pain shot up my outer bicep up to my shoulder (like extreme soreness but not really a tear. I could still do a pull up if i wanted to but it would hurt a lot 30 seconds after) So i took a month break. Last week did 4 sets of pull ups after the break. Felt ok. Yesterday on the 2nd set, the pain came back, but not close to as bad as last time. Am i likely experiencing the issue you are talking about in this video?
