This one really hitted me hard... When he said that he didn't marry her out of love, but because she would accept living with his mother, that just broke my heart. He doesn't have a good relationship with his wife or kids, and his actions seem to tell that he doesn't care. If he doesn't change soon, I really hope she divorces him. Their kids are all grown-up, they'll understand. She just looks so lifeless, honestly I just want to see her happy and smiling.

I would never trust the apologies and promises forced out of these bums from the audience. They do it because they are embarrassed not because they wanted to. Mam divorce, I know you are afraid of being alone but you are lonelier with him than without. Live a second life without him as your best life. Don't waste your energy on those who do not deserve it. If you wouldn't stand for your daughter being treated this way, why would you allow yourself to be treated as such. You are stronger than you think. He is relying on your insecurities to keep you there thinking shell never leave. Classic narcissist.

I do appreciate his caring and love for his mother and sister, but that doesn't mean there shouldn't be any left at least for his children much less his wife of three decades. It's plain to see that he didn't develop any love for her throughout the years of living together. There's not even an inkling of fondness one another. I feel that he doesn't see the need to try hard to get to know his family because he has his mother by his side who'd listen to him and validate his worth as a person. It's really sad though that he's neglected his children emotionally and it would take time to build their trust. If this situation continues on, he'd be one of those parents abandoned by their children to live to their own.

After watching this episode I had to say a little prayer because boy was it needed. She's a strong woman for staying with him for 29years. The husband doesn't love her no matter how much the producers try to sugar coat all the lovey dovey scenes at the end. A person that loves you will not present himself to the whole nation and on a global television program to say that he didn't marry you for love but for his own convenience of will you live with your mother-in-law. Yes this case was a difficult one but it shouldn't have ended like this. Since they go to church I would advice they seek help with their local marriage counsellor (that's if the wife still wants to go on with her marriage). They should have also adviced him to seek answers from his wife first before telling his mother. You can't keep your wife in the dark, then why did you marry her? I think people need to start asking questions like how many blind dates have you been to, how many were successful and why do you think the others weren't successful? 50 blind dates for me is a red flag.

There always two sides of the story when it comes to couples and you really don't know happens behind close doors. But damn, that's cold blooded to say, he didn't marry her out of love. It's not like anyone forced him to marry her. It's very hard to have a healthy relationship when resentment enters the picture. Yes, it good to help those in need, but your wife/husband should come first.

Its somehow similar with our family situation. Our father character is somehow like that. Not know how to show affection. And his voice is rough and the words he say are tought. As an elder sibling i have known it a lot from my childhood that my parents very often have an argument sometimes very serious. But my mom stay positive what so ever and tell us that "if i dont respect my husband no one would respect him".He doesnt like noises and scold us when u laugh but we still make jokes with mom and try to make him laugh. And i think that is the best part of being a family

marriage is so difficult. sometimes we get so in our feelings, it just accumulates, and it's hard to get back to what marriage is about. an arranged marriage, happens...a lot. it's about learning and growing WITH ea other. sometimes, we just get caught up in our daily duties, but don't take the time to work on getting to know ea other. i'm sure they will work on it. married 29 yrs is an accomplishment and shows responsibility for family life.

Well this is hard... I don’t know if there’s a resolution even... I can’t say I fault the dad for saying he met her through matchmaking and didn’t marry her for love cause there were probably many cases like that in the olden days.. the mistake here was that he said it out loud even when it was the truth.. Tbh I think lots of asian dads are kinda like him- hard to talk to and doesn’t say much but the difference here is that the dad really doesn’t seem to care or love his family at all... anyway I honestly don’t know many around me who are that close to their asian dads... 😕

I hope she leaves. I don’t care if divorce is frowned upon in SK. She deserves to be happy. If he didn’t marry her out of love then he should have never gotten married. The words you say stick with people for life. I still remember my dad saying the same thing about my mom and whenever they threaten each other with divorce I just shrug. The woman deserves better and to move on. He can stay with his mother and not be judged.

He remember my dad who always said is my mom who dosent work things out, but in the end if you are not willying to go with they bs and endure it, they think is your fault that for any mean or reason you should take it and be happy with that. In the end my parents divorced and i have to say as a daughter im more happy this way than seeing my mom stucked in such relationship. P.s: i think like he said he dosent love her and he just care for his kids because is theyr blood and will look bad as a dad not to. But not for any sincer feeling. And in the other hand she dosent love him anymore, she is just taking gor the kids (what i dont get, they are old), probably because she dosent want to people point them out for having divorced parents. A pitty in the end matchmakers can be really troublesome since you dont know if the person likes you or just lost his hope and want someone to fill that gap and dosent care who is the one.

For every living human in this world, we live for once in a lifetime, men or women have their own disire to make a better life. While as a men you must rememmber how your wife delivered your son. Its really dificult for being a mother and raise a kids alone and much more difficult when the husband didnt care at all. Its a mental abbusive. Please say everything that make our partner smile and happy, we wont realized until once they are moved or left us.. The only thing in this world is being loved and loved is a must. It's heartbreaking to hear from a person you been with for 29 years that they didn't love you. It seems that the husband has lived a life that he never wanted nor loved. He doesn't hate them but it's clear that he has no love for his family. Ask the years of neglect of course that his children will take their mothers side as they to were treated indifferently.
