"He hasn't been offered the job" | Kaveh Solhekol provides update on Ruben Amorim to Liverpool

Chief reporter Kaveh Solhekol provides an update on Liverpool's interest in Sporting boss Ruben Amorim after Sky Germany said Amorim has reached a verbal agreement in principle with Liverpool.
The 39-year-old is said to have discussed a three-year contract to become Jurgen Klopp's successor.
Sky Germany report that a deal is still to be finalised between the two clubs.
Solhekol says Sporting boss Ruben Amorim is one of several candidates on Liverpool's list to replace Jurgen Klopp.
Sources on Merseyside say the reports are "wholly inaccurate", adding that the club are undertaking a thorough process around a number of candidates. They stress that a preferred candidate has not been identified.

LFC get their Sporting Director and CEO of football in on June 1st in Edwards and Hughes. I doubt the club will offer anyone a contract before then. It wouldn't make sense and LFC simply don't conduct their business in the press. Wait til the season is over, then we can talk about this.

If he has been offered and accepted the job, the press will not be told. He is currently managing a team trying to win titles. No need to destabilise everything by talking. Liverpool don't conduct their business in public so I would expect an announcement after the last game of the season. Anything before that time is just speculation.

i hope amorim isnt 'arrogant and authoritive' as that worries me about him from what i've read.. if he comes into lfc to stamp his authority to show what a genius he is, this is stupid! you can do that at sporting but its not required at lfc who's style of play is outstanding and effective in a much stronger league, maybe tweek a few things thats all. i still prefer de zerbi i think he's potentially a better fit and will handle the step up easily
