I disagree with Dawson what about the times when pep called out his players for being overweight Phillips or when he called out Foden for bad body language in training or some players partying too hard in Walker. Yet they got their head down and turned it around apart from Phillips. It is clearly the player that has the desire to work hard and prove to the manager that they can turn it around.

You're right. But, I think a couple months back, Pep shared his views on Kalvin Phillips in regards to his lack of playing time since arriving at City. Apparently, the player is always performing top level during training. And, has not said a single bad word to Pep for the lack of game time, since he arrived. And Pep also claimed that he feels very sorry for the player, because his attitude in training is always top level. So, with Philip's, it isn't about not turning up in training and delivering top level in sessions. It's just, Pep is finding it hard to fit the player in his system and setup.

Giving him £290k a week from the get-go shows how fundamentally broken everything is when it comes to the way the sporting side of man utd is run atm. That kind of money is obscene at that young age for someone yet to prove themselves in the league. That's the kind of wage you pay someone who can guarantee output. Some of these ex-players find it ridiculously difficult to criticise other player's off-field behaviour. A manager picks the team often based on training. Pretty much all the players that didn't get into the team that week, didn't do as well on training as the players that did get picked. Nothing to see here. Sancho didn't have to make a big deal out of it. He has managed his career badly.

I find it weird to say the blame is 100% on him and that he should go and say sorry, while also saying that he might not even be wrong. If he might not be wrong, why should he say sorry? What kind of club culture is that where you're in the wrong for not apologising for something you needn't apologise for. Makes Ten Hag look so petty.
@sammontalbetti3849
@sammontalbetti3849 5 ай бұрын
The thing he's being asked to apologize for is being called a scape goat...it's very possible Ten Hag was judging too harshly, but claiming you were made into a scapegoat (being blamed for other people's wrong doing) is way different than claiming you were harshly criticized; this is at the highest level of the sport and obviously reflects horribly on Ten Hag especially in a media saturated football world. So Ten Hags desire for an apology makes total sense when you think about it...which isn't to say that "the blame is 100%" on Sancho, but as an adult you have to recognize your own faults and own up to them and he clearly shouldn't have publicly came out and accused Ten Hag of that. Many managers criticized their players openly, its embarrassing but it's part of life as a professional athlete if you don't perform up to what the manager thinks is acceptable. It's up to the athlete to prove him wrong.
@jordegales
@jordegales 4 ай бұрын
He should not say sorry, and the media should ask him to say it. I think Sancho had his solid reasons, and it's unfair that if a player want to talk will be sanctioned and a manager has all the power of the microphone and blame everyone without any punishement

Sancho's situation is not unique. As a Man Utd fan I have seen players signed at the club with huge contracts and do not want to pull their weight, but conveniently find it appropriate to use the club's crisis as an excuse to be lazy and get paid. Pogba was called out, he did a documentary and left, Ronaldo the same story, Memphis, Di Maria, Lingard, Sanchez, the list goes on. How many of these players have gone out to join a bigger club than Man Utd and are still competing at the highest level of football? They could not handle the pressure of playing for a big club and not producing results so they sold out and left. How many different managers has Bruno Fernandez played under and is still producing good numbers? Players should be held accountable for not performing and not hold the manager at ransom for the poor work ethic of the players.

Sancho defended himself against the words his manager said in a public interview not to him personally during the week if his efforts weren't up to standard, the fact he has strenuously fought his corner over those statements from his manager, will Ten Haag apologize for going public instead of talking to him man to man
@MrXaphus

Ten Hag went above and beyond last season by giving Sancho 3 months off to sort his head out, and when he came back he showed little improvement on his behaviour and attitude. After all that the club has done for him to accommodate his needs (and paying him a six figure salary every week to boot), the manager probably thought the touchy-feely approach hadn't worked and was using some tough love to jolt him into applying himself. Face facts - Sancho crumbled at the slightest of digs at his professionalism, yet he still somehow thinks he had enough of a track record to give him a leg to stand on. The truth is he was in over his head from the beginning, and has been shown up to be thin-skinned and weak-minded.

Playing at Dortmund is easy . No pressure. Playing at Utd. Is the most difficult thing in football. The pressure has crushed many great players over the decades. Its whsts wrong with Onana now . He looks terrified.

United do this time after time, buy a player and give them a massive salary boost instead of giving them performance bonuses that will entice them to work for their money. Sancho was on about £140k at Dortmund & nearly doubled when he came to United. Antony was on £20k at Ajax & £200k at United. If we are signing these young players, don’t double their base salary or we will have more sancho type players

I disagree Cristiano Ronaldo coming back to Man U was the worst thing for Sancho it pushed him to the bench as Ronaldo moved up front and Greenwood moved to Sancho's position on the right.

Greenwood was always playing on the right, I don't think that made a difference. And the fact that a 17 year old kid was preferred to him, tells you everything you need to know about Sancho. And what did he do after Greenwood was suspended?

at what point do we start looking at the culture of man united? how many star players have come to the club over the last 10 years and have failed? pogba, sanchez, Di Maria, sancho. There just isn't an enviroment for star players to come and actually do well. things like that barely happen at man city and liverpool and that's why they're the 2 best teams in the country, because the clubs are actually run well from top to bottom.
