Great interview. I have started a raw food diet and what I’ve noticed is the amount of mucus that is coming (gross but true). I’m supposing from my lungs/sinuses. It’s unreal. I know this is my true path. God spoke to me one morning and I heard, read Genesis 1:29 so I did. I didn’t know what is was. It says, Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours food. He (God/Holy Spirit) told me more things regarding that which is a little lengthy. I tried but failed. I have really asked God to help me and He has. Your channel and others have educated me in order to do it correctly. Thanks so much. My husband is a total meat eater but I have been plant based several times due to health reasons so I can deal with that. I can’t wait to see what all God has for me in this journey and what all I am going to learn. 💕🍎🍉🍋

I’ve been plant based for 6 years and been transitioning to raw for 3…last year has been fully raw. I’ve had a chronic mucus cough for 6 years…interesting!?? I too think my body is slowly releasing all the stored mucus from a lifetime of eating meat, dairy and junk. I’ve begun weekly colonics to help speed the process of elimination. Getting rid of liver flukes and their eggs is a TRIP 🫣 Blessing on your healing journey 🦋🌈💕🙏

Love this! When he said around 16:00 "this is our species specific diet", that resonated! I get into so many debates with family about this. And I always say: if humans were intended to eat cows/pigs/chickens etc then we would be able to walk up to a cow and take a bite, like all other carnivores do. If we were meant to eat pigs we would be able to grab a pig and just start munching... Humans are designed to eat raw fruits and veggies period... Thank you for this video

Another great interview Gillian! You’ve turned me on to so many inspiring raw vegans. Because of that I’ve increased my raw food almost without effort…it just happens because my mind is flooded with positive stories. Also, Dan is so right about ethical veganism. The documentaries NEED to be watched. We MUST confront our cruelty by proxy. I watched Earthlings SIX times and weeped every time. When I have the thought of eating an animal I become repulsed. I’ve been plant based for 6 years and high raw for 3. Thank you again for these inspirational interviews 🙏🦋🌈

I’m so glad he mentioned about divorce and working through things instead of leaving and a thousand times more so when there’s kids involved. As the child of divorce, nothing bothers me more than hearing adults who didn’t experience divorce as a child, say that their kids are/will be fine if they bail on their marriage. If you didn’t experience divorce as a child, you have no concept of the damage it will do.

@@GillianBerry Also, hang in there (14:20). My beautiful amazing wife stood in our kitchen 15 years ago and yelled, NO ONE IN THIS FAMILY IS EVER GOING TO GO VEGAN! PERIOD! Lol. Well, I can tell you that 15 years and two gorgeous plant based kids later, that turned out not to be true. It was really tough at first, but eventually tolerance leads to flexibility which leads to experimentation and ultimately the lifestyle is embraced. It can't be done to prove you're right, it has to be done to prove your love! That's were I made mistakes in the beginning. Now we are both great cooks. Still, I'm a little afraid to tell her Raw vegan is next. Lol.

Oh. My. Gosh! I haven’t heard anyone reference Victoria Boutenko in so long! She is one of the first Raw food influencers in my life. Her story Raw Family is so inspiring and she shares more of her family’s journey in her book Green For Life . I’ve often wondered if she invented the green smoothie! She started making them after years on raw suddenly left her with cravings she couldn’t explain. And this was after experiencing so much healing (for herself, her husband and both kids as they were all sick). This was back when the only info out there was pretty high fat(maybe why raw hasn’t ever been able to fully stick with me). Thanks for sharing- you both are super inspiring as well as I try to return to raw foods!

I don’t know anything about where the family is at today, but in 2012, she coauthored a book with Elaina Love and Chad Sarno called Raw and Beyond. They all began to add some cooked food(whole and healthy) into their diets and talk about it in this book. They still credit the raw food diet they ate for years for the dramatic healings and life transformations they experienced. I think it’s refreshing when people honestly share their struggles in the journey and how they evolved and dealt with important issues.

Looking forward to that... 12 years ago it used to work for me when I ate saltless diet of cooked grains, steamed vegetables and raw fruits, I achieved perfect health up to the point when I was able to dry fast up to one week and felt unbelievably amazing! So I know where I need to be and how to look like. But I eventually lost it and felt into salty food.. My body changed over the years and what used to work back then doesnt seem to work anymore so I am doing mostly raw for the first time to give it a try, I was inspired mainly by Loren Lockman and Eli Martyr😉 And you of course...

I have gone into some addictions some years ago and when I eat small cooked foods my addictions start coming back.

To stop my cravings I found a powerful garlic supplement extremely helpful! I think cravings have a lot to do with parasite activity and the garlic suppresses them. It’s also cleared my face from acne! I take 3 Garlic Forte (by MediHerb) per day. Enjoyed the interview!!!👏👏👏😁😁😁

I think it would be really great if you could interview Sergei Boutenko on your channel. His mom, Victoria, was one of the leading voices of the raw food movement 20 years ago and they were known as The Raw Family. Their books influenced me greatly. Sergei is an expert in foraging for wild greens. I don't think that any of the family are raw vegan these days although they continue to be very conscious of what they eat. I think it would be really informative to find out why they moved away from this diet and what their experiences have been. Sergei is also one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life.

dang dude I bet ur dreams must be nuts if you been long term raw with intermittent fasting. I know from experience going 5 to 6 hours before bed without eating definitely lowers ur blood sugar and allows you to get extremely vivid or lucid. Last time I did that succesfully for months straight was years ago when i was eating nothing but fish and spinach and drinking water . I've been trying to do it again while raw but it takes that much more discipline because of the spiking of the insulin with the fruits and vegetable sugars. Big props to you man thats Godly

Having raised two boys & helping my younger son who had health challenges that manifested in obesity as a child. I worried for him going into high school. Part of his journey that encouraged him in turning his health around was joining football and having that comradery. So I get just a men's community group. ❤

The social aspect of eating all raw is the hardest part for me. No one in my life eats like this and it can be isolating. Otherwise, it's an amazing journey and a lot of great things happen after going all raw in my experience.

Gillian - I’m one year into being WFPB and am more curious about eating more raw. Without cooking, how do you get the nutrients provided by the beans, legumes and grains I am cooking now? And I have a 10 year old son, which makes it tricky too.

I went on an all fruit lifestyle..I tried the berries and watermelon to cure myself but it was too restricted.. now I'm doing more fruit.. just avoiding orange Grapefruit and apricots.. cause those apparently have more acid in them. My blood sugars are low in the morning.. afternoon and evening there a little higher.. I'm trying to figure out how much insulin I need.. it's a work in progress. Lol

Hi I just want to know when u do intermittent fasting is that something u do forever or just a short period of time. Everybody that talks about intermittent fasting never says how long or at least I never heard it lol
@AnovaLisaDragonfly
@AnovaLisaDragonfly 4 күн бұрын
Hi! That’s true. I don’t think I’ve heard anyone talk about that either. But my impression is that IF is something you would/could do for the rest of your life - because the rationale behind it is that early humans didn’t have the luxury of being able to eat all day. They had to hunt and gather and work to get food. So we developed the internal mechanisms that support being able to go for most of the day without eating. If we want to allow our bodies to use its stored energy and fat, it can be done continually. Mindy Pelz talks about varying the number of hours women IF based on their cycle, and during menopause. And varying the number of hours in the fasting window, over time, might make IF more effective for weight management also. And to just give our bodies a break, and the space/time to do its self-healing work. But, yes, it can be done for life. Hope that helps!
