Plus it would give Thurman a chance to avenge his loss in their classic 1st bout. "L" for u, Bro. 💯🐢 EDIT: In my opinion, since they're both still training, I believe they both have two or three more fights left in the tank - nothing more. The winner would clearly be in line for another huge pay day. In Vegas, it would pack the casino. IMO

He had an injury to his elbow in the Danny Garcia fight and got surgery on it. I’m guessing since his shoulder had to overcompensate for the strength in his elbow everytime he punched, his bicep ended up tearing which is a serious injury

I feel for Tszyu. He seems shattered which is understandable. He’s a great contender and deserves his time on the big stage in the United States where, let’s be honest, that’s where the legacies are made. I’ll back him against Fundora I wish more boxers these days had the attitude of Tim Tszyu.

I've had a bicep injury in the past and for those of you who don't know it's extremely debilitating and painful. My recovery was about 2 months but in severe cases a torn bicep can take as much as 5 months to properly heal. I think Thurman must've been training really hard for this fight and possibly may have overtrained. As bad as it is health and wellbeing always should take president! Thankfully Tim has a decent replacement. As for Thurman wish him a speedy recovery

Thurman was in on it the whole time. PBC knew Tim Tszyu wouldn't spar the week of the fight, so his preparation for a 6' 6" guy would be limited. They pulled Thurman out in order to bring in Fundora, in an effort to acquire the unified title for an American. I'm not complaining. It's a much better fight, but it seems like the PBC are not on Tszyu's side here...

Downsides are obviously that Tim hasn’t been preparing for him (but that goes both ways!) and that Fundora has been stopped by someone Tim has beaten so there isn’t as much reason to fight him. But, Fundora has only been beaten once and is a legit contender. This will be a banger as long as it lasts. I can’t see it going 12.
