My question is why don't the Thai boxers get disqualified this should be illegal blow this can cause severe damage and long time long-term health effects it is not only disrespectful but it is dirty fighting to kick someone in the knots and does not say a lot for the style or a sport or martial art or whatever it is wanting to be I was always taught when I done kickboxing taekwondo Mossley and other stand-up martial arts don't kick below the belt yes you are allowed it in Thai boxing but kicking someone in the nuts resorts to just showing how unsportsmanlike you are and how it is someone who is lost in a fight and has to resort to 22 tactics

I think there's another pillar you can add: that he CAN actually punch when getting in range, since I note all that torso leverage going into it [as all the advanced strikers do]; and also the reason why his spinning techniques and sidekicks work so well (ie. due to the preliminary torso leverage)

@bong kem no doubt!! I'd guess that was one of the higher weight classes he competed at of the 3. 188lb or so I believe, 5'10 and Hoost was 6'3. Those ballerina moves were a big part of he power I think, in preparation of rather. By attacking while in a spin already can give a lot of velocity, as opposed to a normal spinning fist or heel kick which also tends to telegraph it somewhat. I'd love to know how much his opponents were watching tapes of the guy beforehand, idk if that was a Thai thing or not back then

Kicks take a lot of energy, Manson Gibson's cardio must have been excellent.

Manson Gibson uses Taekwondo. He seems to mainly use Taekwondo's kicks. It seems that he learned Taekwondo from a very young age. Taekwondo is a traditional martial art in Korea. I know it very well because I am a Korean, the birthplace of Taekwondo. His kicks are very popular in Korea, too. His kicking video has reached millions of views in Korea.

Honestly id rather take a quick and peaceful knockout to the head than to get mortally pierced by one of those spinning kicks to the body. Pain is absolutely no description. And I wont even attempt to imagine how Mansons kicks felt. No wonder he felled legends with those.

You don't need to emulate him, you develop a style based on what works for you and your strong points, and that is the philosophy of Bruce Lee. This dude was quick, so he utilised his skills by using spinning moves to confuse the enemy allowing him more time to land with his strongest points about him. Everyone is different, use your body as your own tool. don't copy others.

Another classic example of a critic and a person never satisfied. Did his name not get mentioned several times throughout the video? Surly someone paying close attention could count how many times his name was mentioned throughout the video despite not being mentioned in the title. 😢😢😢😢

It isn't unorthodox, he is using karate. In karate sparring you always start fighting with the straight line kicks from your front leg in the kyu ranks, it is later that they make you add the roundhouse and spinning kicks. Usually you start fighting with a full side stance, a front semi side stance, or a lay back stance.

growing up, i had a copy of a book of canadian civilian/military unarmed combat, they called it awrology and it emphasized spinning attacks. lol i remember practicing spinning and rising from a sitting position and going around knife handing(chopping)every surface. i used it, when i transfered to a new school, on this tag team of bullies and just laid them out. after that, we started up an awrology club and had the most peaceful middle school there probably ever was, because a person didn't know if some nerd was going to spin out of nowhere and chop him in the carotid artery.
