I agree West Ham have had a better season than Arsenal. Wow Arsenal got top 4 but they won’t win the UCL so who cares? It’s great financially but West Ham lifting a cup is a real moment for the club and fans.

Adding this 3rd European Cup Competition was a brilliant idea. There are SO MANY 'Good' teams in Europe but ESPECIALLY in the EPL that don't get the opportunity to play on the European stage, only ever competing domestically. ANYONE who says winning the Europa League or Conference League doesn't count or mean anything is elitist, arrogant and empty-minded. I promise you those West Ham fans are going to remember this victory for the REST of their lives! They will celebrate and look back on this the same way Argentinians will about their 2022 World Cup victory.

It's not elitist to look at it as a diddy cup. West Ham didn't have to beat anyone of note to win it. It's much harder to win the league cup because you'll have to beat a City, United, Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea to do it, Probably two of them. Comparing it to the World Cup is absolutely ridiculous. The only part of your assessment I agree with is that it's good that teams a bit lower down the chain get some European football. West Ham had a vastly more expensive squad than anyone they played. English teams will win this trophy often simply on the strength of the league. The Europa league is a much better standard and not a diddy cup but still it's nowhere near the prestige of the Champions Cup

I'd feel nothing winning the Conference League mate it's like the Nations League nobody cares. Arsenal finished 2nd not 4th and 85 points is decent it's just City are on a crazy high level. Arsenal get too much stick but its mainly because of the small minority of loud cocky fans and probably because Arsenal ruined a lot of other fans childhood during 98-06. Also Arsenal have won 4 FA cups in the last decade people forget

Danny Dyer summed up Simon Jordan very succinctly here, Simon is a snob. A recent example which springs straight to mind is when he tried to belittle independent content creators as "bedroom bloggers" at the start of the week, which was aimed at Goldbridge. I barely even watch any of Goldbridge's videos but it seemd like a cheap shot from Simon, and for no real reason. There are plenty more examples of Simon's snobbery and elitism I could mention but anyway well said.Danny Dyer, got Simon bang to rights there.
