Thank you for sharing his story. My uncle (who was a great swimmer) was found a week after he disappeared in one of our local lakes. We are not sure how he drowned, but for whatever reason he jumped or fell off his boat (alone) and drowned. I was a Deputy and was part of the search team. However, I was not there when my squad found him (a blessing in disguise). Water safety has always been a priority for me, as a person and a father. This man’s mission is a noble one. Thank you for helping him spread awareness. One of your best videos.

That is insane. I was in my bath last night pretending to be on a paddle board, then my man Frobisher brought me my gin and tonic but forgot the ice. I know what it is to suffer🙄

Having lived on an old 1978 30ft catamaran for most of this summer (2023)I dont know how he is surviving without a toilet, hot water for washing and stuff, an oven for heating takeaways, electric light for reading in the evenings and charging the phone or laptop, storage for food pickies as well as storing normal meals, and thats just for starters. A canopy in the winds this week?? I was well protected but still had a 3.5 foot swell port to starboard.

What a guy! But what does he do with his poo after he baggs it? If he throws it away in a bin on land it gets burned anyway. It's not a couple of turds from people enjoying their leisure time out on the water that pollutes it. It's the dumping of tons of stuff

Yeah he was very non judgmental on other water users and what they do, I guess he just had his own personal ethos that was important to him. 😊🙏🏼

Hi, how are you taking your blood pressure with the monitor, you should be sat down for 5 minutes with out to much movement to get a better reading

I’ve bought a better monitor and have been more measured in how intake my readings and although I’m still high, it’s lower than the worst scores I was hitting previously. Mostly thanks to so much input from people on here 🙏🏼😊

Hi Dom, sorry this comment not re Brendan, which was great episode btw. I just saw a really interesting post you did re a swell bridle, but now I can’t find it, where is it? Also, if you have a swell bridle deployed can it be negative if the anchor needs to reset with change of tide? Thanks, Alex
@CadohaAdventures
@CadohaAdventures 10 ай бұрын
Ha yes, that post was on Facebook on the Uk sailing and cruising page. I’m not sure about the anchor resetting with the tide, I haven’t thought about that, although we held fast for two days where we were, so perhaps it depends? You will have to think about the extra wind age though and as such we let out much more chain, often everything we have, just to be safe.

@@CadohaAdventures You’re such a star for replying so quickly thank you. And I love the way you reply to so many of your messages, but the that’s the dedication that’s so apparent in everything you do, so a big thumbs up. I found the post, you should definitely cover this (however briefly) in a forthcoming vid as it’s so interesting to get an insight into the techniques you have learned even if as you say you’re conscious of not being Jimmy Cornell or Skip Novak 😀 PS I need to send you some more cider soon!
