Wunder is so beautiful, Yvonne! And we can see that he's much more at ease being tied up now, which will be so helpful as he grows. Saly and Rinske were a pleasure to watch in the arena, and Rein is such a great helper too. He is getting tall! I don't know why, but seeing animals grazing in the rain has always had a calming effect on me. This video was utterly charming, even with poop castles. 😅 Thank you so much! Is there any video of Saly being ridden? I've never seen one, only some with her daughters (Ginny, Lianne, and Marije). I sometimes saw Saly in front of the carriage, but never under the saddle.

In a video from a few years ago Saly was ridden in the arena with a few others. I don’t recall who was riding her, possibly not Yvonne. Yvonne mentioned she is timid and a bit bumpy when ridden, if I recall correctly. I am sure I could never find the video. At least not on purpose. We mostly see Saly in front of the carriage. 🧡🧡

So nice to see Wunder with so much trust in Rinske! Rein is doing a great job! You never see city raised kids work so hard at such a young age! But at the farm following you around, they see what has to be done and are so willing to help! Having jobs that are physical and work from home, I think can be very good for children. They get to see more of what adult life is like. Not saying the other is bad or anything. I grew up in the city with my Dad going into the office every day. But weekends he would do odd jobs around the house too, and I learned a lot from him that way. But I just love that Rein helps out so much. He'll be driving the tractor by himself before you know it! Can you explain, at some point, more about the physiology of the strings and how the position helps with the back muscles when training the horses? I ask because I don't understand, and seeing you maybe point out where the muscles run, well visuals are clearer than reading about it. But I know you have a lot to do, so only if you feel like it ! Best to you, Risey, and every one else. Thank you for the video!

A quick and basic answer about the strings - it's attached to her mouth on the bit (like a pair of reins would be), and that's then tied low on the girth. This position makes her drop her head if she doesn't want to feel the tension in her mouth, which then makes her round her neck down too. This means that the muscles on the top are relaxed, which then means that the tops of her shoulder blades are also loose, which helps keep her back muscles loose (etc etc). Try tightening the muscles of your own neck - you'll find it hard not to tense your shoulders either, and that will also tighten your upper back muscles. Next, let your head drop down so your chin goes toward your chest - the trapezoidal muscles on top of your shoulders will loosen (maybe the joints will roll forward too), and the upper back muscles will lengthen out a bit. We of course stand on two legs so there will always be tension in the lower part, but for a horse it will also help that part and their hips. (That ended longer than I meant, but I hope it explains a bit!)

First i hope you're feeling better. Rein really is does like the horses and is such a wonderful young fella cleaning all the poo from the stalls. Camille's halter on Daisy looks cool on her. Greatvto see Rinske withe Wunder and helping with Saly. She's so good thatyou could hear and see Saly relaxing. Loved to see Mario and Peach get their growing sleep. You seemd to have got all the rain that is usually in Glasgow in July. Take care and love to all. 💕💕🐎🇬🇧

These videos 📹 as I said are very good 👍 because we all live vicariously through Yvonne and the horses 🐎! It is a sad 😥 deal with Risey and hopefully some kind of treatment will be discovered to help improve his condition. I wanted to see Yvonne have him trained into a good dressage horse 🐎 and be able to have him at stud as well!
