the drops in the 2nd game were hilarious and effective. that guy did not want to leave. He was on two bases while you had your whole side of the map, he hadn't attacked you ever, and he was still playing it. Dude did not want to lose MMR.

That middle game was some edge of the seat drama! For the last one, I think he just bet the farm on the air attack, and when that didn't work didn't think he could transition to anything. What's strange is that the first oracle already told him there was air-defense....

I haven't played the game since 3 years and i stopped watching sc2 youtubers around 2 years ago. Suddenly this "retired" MADMAN invades my youtube feed and i'm just bingewatching. I had stopped playing and watching because the game and the builds felt EXTREMELY stagnant. Your gameplay tho, is anything but stagnant. Just wanted to give a bit of praise, never change my man 😂

Its pretty amazing how mech drops not only negate the range advantage of tanks, but also mitigate splash damage on your side while maxing friendly fire on their side. Much more deadly than one might think at first.

Hello Guys and @uThermal (please read), I wanted to make 2 suggestions, 1 for this challenges rules, as you asked about them before and 1 for another silly challenge. 1: Suggested rule for Mech Drops: You asked before how the challenge should handle "normal" pushes, as the challenge should be about drops, but at some point you also will have to push and not only drop. I suggest the following rule as a solution: "Pushs can only be done in a strategic dependency with at least 1 drop" This would mean you can only push when you either use the push as a distraction for an incoming Drop (as a "strategic" distraction, not a kill move) or when you push while/ immediately after you have used a Drop as a distraction for an incoming push (this time the push is allowed to kill as it isnt the distraction itself but the thing that a distraction drop is used for)" This way always when you push you will have to do it in tandem with a drop and a drop will always be a strategic main element in combination with the push and not the push alone be the main strategy. You can still end Games with a push when needed this way, but only in circumstances that still use a drop as a strategic focus around it and also can use pushs as one of your loved "mind games" to bait enemy armys out of their base to let it undefended for incoming drops. I hope you like my suggestion. 2: Suggestion for a "silly" challenge: Lets call this challenge "Bunny Centers", "Command Bunny" , "Base Hopper" or what ever. I got this Idear in one of your recent Videos in which you accidently lifted your main Command center and had then to land it again, and then said "this is one of the biggest Terran misstakes that can happen" So Lets make a Challenge out of this misstake that is funny, but also challenging and creative: My Idear: -Every Time you build a new building you have to lift all your Command Centers and Orbital Commands which then can be landed right after. (not sure yet if Supply depots should be included or if that is to much, but I like the idear of them counting as well, as it would give the Orbital Ability to "increase" supply instead of building a new depot a strategic element to play around with) - Your First 2 Bases mustnt become Planetary Fortresses to not "avoid" the challenge completly (but PF also shouldnt be banned as lifting 8 CC in the lategame would be very apm taxing) I think this Challenge is kinda similar to the Bong cloud in the sense that it allows all units, but has an economic disadvantage. But its also more interesting as it has more things to think about from a strategic sense and more ways to play around it. First of all ofc it costs APMs, which is a new element challenges rarly have, but ofc specific strats that need less buildings can work around it like specific all ins. Or Unity Compositions that need less APM to have some over for the challenge. Also the Ability of the Orbital Command that increases Supply of depots would be interesting if Suply depots count as a way to avoid APM Costs in clutch situations. It also doesnt have 1 big economic disadvantage at the beginning like the bongcloud, but small little set backs that add up over time and have different impacts depending on the used strategy. Personally I like the Idear specificly bcs of all the strategic ways to "avoid" building new buildings or using low APM Strats to not get puniched as hard when having to focus your APM on the Hopping CCs. In the end its a creative challenge that would need you to get very creative in your strategic choices to play around the challenge to still be able to win, and I think this creative development would be an interesting journey to watch from episode to episode. I haven't played in 6 years and I started in as 6 years old in 2000. I never realized how good I was until I saw you mention mmr numbers. I was always a constant 4500 in every season but I could win every place match in under 12mins and itd still put me the bottom of bronze.

What I didn't expect is to see higher mobility mech beating an entrenched terran base. The medivacs' supply & cost hinder somehow... didn't _ruin_ the strategy, thanks to the "siege" potential. What else could we learn from this unique strategy?

13:30 is where he lost... so.. when a drop larger then two medivacs is inside of terrans main production.. double tap your buildings in your Main quickly and smash L.. and move away... He shouldo f sieged only 3 tanks... and sent in libs and landed the vikings on top of the drop.. Since he had larger nubmer ocunt he would of taken care of it.. and because the buidligns are lifted his tanks can jsut move in and shot, which is pretty good... It should be 1 to 1 trade... or slightly in his favour because of turrets... But losing some of those vikings allows him to trasnfer into better composition of units, whihc BC yomato or thors himself... If he continues viking servos would be recommended... Typically if your getting more than x ammount of units... in a game... you hsould probably get all the upgrades for said units.. There is a scale chart... typically adding +1 attack to say a unit when that army comp is then acting as if it had an extra unit. IE 5 units do 3 damage each. TEchnically they would act as an extra unit with them at 3 units. Then we break down upgrade cost. so lets say it 50 mins for the unit and 100 minerals for hte upgrade... you then have a upgrade point for +1 attack at 5 units gives you the benefit almsot par, or 6 would be bettter... 5 units - 15 attack 5 - units +1 attack 20 attack. Essentialy you get like 6.66 units for the cost of 7. If its 6 - 18 attack. 6 -24 attack. 6 units for the cost 8 units but are upgraded and act as 8 units. Its on par.. This called upgrade point. Obviously early upgrades in their relation of cost is important factor. THis works all the way up to the units last upgrade and its cost relation... to a point where its alwaysa benefit.. Anyways... he hsould of lcenaed up the main.. and then secured the system better.. he had a lot of turrets, but there is very little air its just mass drops, his vikings were never on the other side of the map, I don't think he pushed once, if he did, he probably oculd of done, a otnne of damage, since very little of the units shot up and he oculd always fly back.. so he viking count oculd of flown back across... thus makign servos super needed. Allow him to guard and take out the medivacs. Really poorly played by the opponenet, There is no point having fast effective units liek vikings at home... in such numbers.. even a light squad of 3 groups of 3.. could watch hte entire map.. and you simpyl patrol them and hte main viking army stays home to intercept the medivacs.. and the spotters are jsut there to fly away not engage... Thus the vlaue of the vikings go up.. There is noevera point in any rts where you want to wait at home to be attacked ot coutner attack, its nto really a good strategy, if you allwo your opponent to go unfettered. I am waiting for his scv/s on auto repair to be dropped with his mech army... 200 minerals of scvs could be quite valuable... for repairing units in the drop.. but who knows. and scvs repair while in the medivac.. so its sad that... there isn't a special scv slot for a medivac or they large untis were one unit smaller it owuld add that interesting scv in medivac repairing thing... to work...

Hey Marc. I love your videos, been watching them before they were cool ;) ... ❤ I have a suggestion if you read this: it gets a bit boring just watching you smash noobs who are much worse than you, and the first few videos of your challenges are not interesting because we all know you are going to win... I think it would be better if you were to start the challenges with much harder criteria and only only ease it up as you start losing... e.g. start this challenge with Tank drops only, and then allow more mech units when it gets harder. It will be more enjoyable for viewers like me, and also more fair for the diamond level scrubs that you give no chance to. Just a thought. ❤
