Uhh. You can daisy chain display port. Its part of the spec. So as long as you don't need 4k 240hz in theory it can do 8 at 120 or 16 at 60 hz with a single 4070.

@@sheikh3605 I don't think you understand GPUs. He gained zero advantage over a pair of GT1030 graphics cards that would have been better suited for this purpose. Or better yet a pair of Quadro M4000 workstation cards that are actually meant for this purpose and cost less than $200/ea and you don't have to worry about the problems of running two different GPUs that cost around $2k combined and are not compatible with each other for any processing advantages. You sir, clearly know nothing about computers. This has nothing to do with my wealth. It's simply more about my knowledge of the hardware and user requirements.

Yup, you absolutely correct, NVS lineup is there for this specific use case. Recently built one for clients that need PC capable of running 8x 1440p 32 inch "display board", got me no fuss, just plug one Quadro T600 (basically cut down GTX 1660) and use the MST daisychain built in port on the monitor to hook up the rest. Problem solved 😂

you can load stocks over 4 monitors in 4k 120hz with one CPU with integrated graphics and no gpu at all, assuming your motherboard had enough DP/HDMI ports. I think this particular use case involves more than 4 monitors.

hdmi splitter. or a motherboard that comes with more IO, which admittedly are only older ones that dont support a lot of the newer goodies a mb supports nowadays, but there are definitely easier ways to get four monitors going for stocks than having two 30 series cards. lmao. @@sheikh3605

No not anymore. Cards used to have SLI connectors to link two GPU's but developers stopped prioritising it. It ended up being better to just buy a higher tier card rather than 2. Now it's supported in pretty much no modern games

AMD Radeon cards support 5 monitors out of the box... (once you hit a certain high end card). My RX580's supported 5 monitors. nVidia only supports 3 at a time.

I dont know much about stock trading. What i do know is that the more info you have the faster you can react to things the more money you will make or less money you will lose. I have build several pcs for stock traders and some have 6 screens, each screen tracking certain stocks etc. i dont understand how you look and act on 6 screens but hey, they're filling my pockets so if that helps them fill theirs, its all good for me

I actually have a 2 GPU setup, but it's only 1080TI 4GB, and I believe a Radeon 540 8GB. I run 3 monitors, using the 1080 for primary monitor, and 580 for secondary monitors as they are both 60 Hz or less.

There really is no need for a second videocard unless you want 7+ monitors and bought the wrong motherboard and CPU. It's not commonly known but the IGP on an Intel CPU can run 3 screens, provided your motherboard has connectors for them. AMD doesn't specify, but I know form experience that depending on the motherboard they can run 2 monitors off the IGP.

Looks like this customer is wanting to run ML-based stock trading algorithms, which normally leverages GPU power. I probably would have preferred a Quadro RTX 4000 over that dual 4070/4060 setup though, as it would provide more than enough power to leverage said algorithms. (Either way, the 13900K should be more than enough CPU power for this task.)
