Sol is personally my favorite protag in any fighting game (badass design, Unga playstyle, fun and interesting personality and lore, Joji Nakata's voice), but I gotta give Arcsys props for making their posterboys cool characters both in lore and in gameplay. They feel a lot more developed as main characters than other competitors in the genre.

@@TitaniumBeast The amount of people who say words to the effect of "I don't mind Johnny being SS Tier in Rev 2 cause he's difficult." They only say that because they've never fought an SS tier character before.

Jin's the "solid" character-pretty much throughout the entirety of Blazblue. That is, he generally never had anything too wild, but had all the tools necessary to beat anyone. The most consistent weakness he suffered was a poor meterless DP (still a huge step above no meterless DP), but his other reversal options were good, if not extremely good. He has had some grimy stuff with ice gimmicks, resets, crossups, and OD later, but his tier placement mostly came down to his conversions (and how powerful the more wild characters are). Like in CS1, he was never considered VERY good in spite of his toolkit (and getting a powerful new button in jC) because his conversions were often lacking and/or meter reliant. Fast forward to CS2 and now he's top tier thanks to consistently powerful conversions. If memory serves, Jin was at his weakest by a fairly significant margin in CS1 because of this, but he never really faced the problem again going forward. He was also considered relatively weak in CSEX, but I don't actually remember why that was the case.

@@TCSyd Thanks for the reply! As of now I would've liked to play him in BBCF but his BnB with the instant micro-dash as you hit the ground is really hard to connect in my opinion so I went back to Susanoo.

@@NuageMH I wouldn't worry too much about the microdash. I've been running Jin in BBCF and can't microdash basically at all, but I just pick combo routes that don't require it, and for the most part don't miss out on too much damage. You can even do the 2B on the ground against most tall characters without even microdashing, so it's really not that big of a deal. Focus more on his solid neutral and finding conversions, and you'll go way further than grinding out microdashes in training mode.

@@NuageMH if ur struggling with the microdash try doing 663B rather than 662B, it helped me alot and I can do it 70% of the time even tho i have shit execution

Explain any Noel player you have ever fought. Did you lose to her normals or did you lose to her mixing you up with random Drive attacks. I played Noel for a while when Bbcf got rollback an i got little to no results in the beginner levels until I watched videos an replays of Noel just going Unga bunga with her drive attacks an immediately I started to fair better in matches after labbing Drive sequences. Basically people don't like her cause her playstyle is so "easy" an extremely spammy. I have never seen a Noel in a tournament so I assume she is really good at a beginner level an falls off a bit down the line

Obviously people who play setplay characters are gonna be quiet when there's a lot of room for setplay and get very loud if counters are added lol

I think a lot of people just wanna run setplay on other players but don't want to deal with that themselves

Weaker also suffered pretty badly from power creep; in vanilla marvel 3 he was not only one of the only OTG assists, he was one of the few characters who could self OTG into extensions and supers *at all*. Ultimate, alongside introducing meta mainstays like Nova andVergil, handed out OTG properties to large swathes of the cast, allowing a lot of characters like Spencer to actually exceed his damage output (team dependent) even with the buffs Wesker received.

BBCF2 is the most balanced BB. By far.

It's the one with the lowest overall power level, but it's not the best balanced
