I never do 100% positive videos, so I thought I'd break that rule just this once to serve as a reminder that yes: I do actually like this show and present a look at my favourite story in Doctor Who history.

I feel your pain. My favourite Hartnell story is The Myth Makers and that doesn't even have any telesnaps! I'm just glad that I can at least watch all of my favourite Troughton story (The War Games).

I have never listened to the audio of fury and hadn't seen this clip, but DAMN I had chills running up and down my spine! That was terrifying as fuck.

When I saw this episode as a child, it terrified me. I have never forgotten it. It was the scariest Dr Who ever.

For anyone who might be wondering, since the audio of the beginning of the video has to be cut, due to him playing the Doctor Who theme-song in the background, the dialogue he started with was: "This is He Who Moans; Doctor Who reviews. I only complain because I like Doctor Who, and I care... And I over-analyze too-much, because... Ah, whatever; It's just my opinion. Yeah, so about that intro, and to all you people who keep telling me I complain too-much about Doctor Who; This video is going to be a Positive one for a change! We're going to tackle a story that I really love, let alone absolutely adore. Yes, believe it or not, in all 50 and a bit years of it, my favourite episode, is Fury From The Deep."

My enjoyment of Dr Who reached a peak with this story in 1968. It was incredibly atmospheric and as a 7 year old I found it very very scary.

I did see it as an eight year old way back when it was broadcast and it is a masterpiece. It scares genuinely and yes it just works. I remember it vividly even after all these decades. It is proper nightmare fuel. Like a drugged involuntary trip to a particularly bad dentist.

Good choice Fury from the Deep is a stand out classic as it holds up story wise. I have to say my fav and one I wish they would find is The Abominable Snowmen. As a child reading the Target novels from second hand shops The Abominable Snowmen grabbed me and pulled me in. Images of dark haunting interiors and a menace that was always present, so when the audio came out I wasn't disappointed. Talking of The Underwater Menace it's coming out on DVD later this year - at least it's not The Space Pirates lol Can't wait which story or series gets the attention of the cynical eye lol

The funny thing about space pirates is murphy's law says its probably one of the most likely stories to get found. If a full serial gets recovered again, high chances are its gonna be space pirates, so given how rare full serial recoveries are: one day we may have to watch space pirates AND be grateful for it. Twitter is gonna be hilarious the day it gets recovered

What you say is true - but the irony is a few weeks prior to the big find of "Enemy of the World" and "The Web of Fear" me and my Brother had came to the conclusion that the chances of finding any of the missing stories was impossible. Imagine our faces when the news broke lol. I read "Space Pirates" the old target novel and it just.......how can I be polite......it bored the socks of me. Everyone (well most people) slag of "The Dominators" or "The Krotons" but I found those two stories quite enjoyable and still get the same enjoyment out of them. With "Enemy of the World" I got the DVD - no extras (thats a separate grumble) I was surprised by how all 6 episodes just flew by - no clock watching nothing I really enjoyed it. So I showed it to my brother who is a little picky sometimes and knowing we had 6 episodes of political/assassination attempts and lies I was expecting negative feedback - instead I got was a highly positive one and he order a copy lol. With the "The Web of Fear" I was a little disappointed it was good and I enjoyed the story but it just lacked something I can't quite put my finger on.......maybe it didn't live up to all the hype it had generated over the years? I don't know if anyone one feels that way, as all the reviews of the story are through the roof in high praise. The 2nd Dr is on of my all time fav doctors? But I enjoyed "Enemy of the World" more than "The Web of Fear"? Odd lol

similar thing happened with me, I said in a video a few months before it got announced "No one is ever going to see the web of fear again" - oh yeah web's one of my favourites and I felt it lived up to the hype so yeah we can disgaree there. Enemy though...by christ is it awesome. No one really saw that coming as I'm fairly sure no one really rated it when it was missing and the surviving episode was definitely the worst one. The direction was just stunning, big surprise there

It's good to disagree but I'm not offended it's a shame they didn't animate the missing episode. I enjoyed the story "The Web of Fear" but just felt something was missing and after re watching it I still don't know what it is :-S "Enemy of the World" really came out of no where and shocked everyone hahaha. Funny to see it no longer on the Missing Episode lists after all those years of it being there hahaha

Well, unfortunately the chances of any of the remaining 97 episodes that are missing, being found are basically 0. (Yes, I know a huge chunk was discovered back in 2013, but that was almost 5 years ago. A lot of the episodes were found, just after they started looking for them. This might not make much sense when I say this, but every time a missing episode is recovered, the chances of finding another, goes down.) But hey! You can still go back in time, and record the original broadcasting some how! :)

I was lucky enough to be there, watching it at the time...It WAS as good as you think, and as scary and as sad and as ...well just everything.. The only trouble (with being born in 1962) is that you realise how bad the new Who is! Bugger!!

hahaha....and there are those out there who say doctor who is ment to be a comedy soap opera. Looks like some few grew up in the smith era XD XD. Doctor who is creepy horror sci fi. this is why i love 60's Who and why that PAIN bit from the s10 finale was so important because the show had shyed away from that stuff for way too long... *the first thing that comes to my mind when thinking doctor who is getting a good scare*

Oh I'm a raging fanboy when it comes to doctors 2,7 and 8 so it'd mostly be that. Would like to do it though as I'm struggling to put my finger on why I didn't think much of it before an yet find it really absorbing now

Oh my God it's just so damn boring. NOTHING happens. Victoria leaves. Nothing else happens! "Where's my WIFE?" and evil seaweed... I struggled. That bit with the faces is creepy....but they don't do anything after that, just supposedly take over people but we hardly see it.
