Honda CR-V headlight keeps blowing. The problem is not the bulbs it's the socket. it happens on CR-V and other cars.

Good to know. I keep replacing my bulbs about every 2 to 3 months. And I'm paying more than $50 for the pair each time I replace them.

Ya just pry those tabs in slightly and it will solve it. !!!

@@DessDermondy ... I'm going to try that. I just replaced a bulb yesterday without prying it. Will have to pry future bulbs. Thanks.

Absolutely great been through 3 .. thank you brother. Very good. Auto parts store said my oil on my fingers caused problems… I agree… probably plausible… but this is 3 times. I’m going with you.

Thank you, three bulbs a year I am going through and I am getting frustrated. I had took the car to an electrician two years ago and they couldn't figure it out, they said the car was fine as far as they could see. It's frustrating as my bulb blew again driving back home in the dark on small Scottish winding roads (luckily no one was on the road early hours so I used the highbeams). As soon as the morning comes I am going to check it out myself and see whats going on.

Did this and swapped the high beam plugs to regular head light location. Still blowing. 🤬

It's the lowbeam only on my driver's side. Will the loose connection cause the lowbeam only to burn out? It's a 2006 Prius.
@DessDermondy9 ай бұрын
its possible. Try tightening up the connection

Its one of those common problems with these models. If your lamps keep blowing this is the solution...try it
