So with the new conversion gems allowing you to change the weapon scaling of dex/int/str over to focus a dps healer class has been born. And the damage the weapons deal in a full focus build is not bad at all.
It's crazy that a healer can now go full focus and have a strong dps offhand without sacrificing any healing output what so ever. This is going to be extremely toxic, especially for small scale PvP.

Healers get blown up all time in opr and war just have to focus them properly always hear this OP nonsense

​@@pauloconnor5101being a good healer is hard but they do have some nonsense going on. Like being able to full heal yourself every few seconds without running out of mana pretty much indefinitely is a bit ridiculous

@@DopeGuyTy exactly, that’s what i mean, putting fortifying sacred ground and suddenly u r immune for few seconds and this can go on and on every 7 seconds 😅

@@MAF193 it's not the sacreds. I kill healers in their sacreds solo. A small problem is that you actually need to 100>0 them in like 2 seconds because they can just use DE(with perk) to get to full HP every second or so. So you need to use weapons like pestilence to simultaneously disease cap + burst them. Or you need some kind of cheesy stunlock/stagger build. Even that isn't really that much of an issue, but the real thing is that they can do this pretty much forever because mana management is a joke.

Every build u see here is pure focus builds. I only chose 50 str for the extra light and heavy attack damage. So healers can now have a decent dps off-hand without sacrificing any of their healing output what so ever. They will still be impossible to kill in 1v1, the only change is that now they can kill you.

I imagine INT going down to 70% and FOC to 60% before live even tbh.

I hope so. I think the basic idea of giving focus a bit more DMG is fun. I'd prefer they even keep the scaling like this and instead add a healing penalty as a tradeoff. Reducing the healing output by 20% or so.

Sapphire and Amber = FOC Ruby, Topaz, Aquamarine and Amethyst = INT

Would a healer build with bleed rapier work? Just stay alive long enough to get a few bleed stacks then pop ‘em?

So dots do not convert, so your bleed will only tick for like 30 dmg or so. But yeah the FnF will nuke your target at 3 stacks still.

@@jiggyspice6809 it shouldn't because FnF dmg is based on DoT power, if it doesn't convert, it won't deal lot of dmg.

You also wont get the 250 int or 150 dex perk so your tondo bleeds will be very short

@@samo7780 yeah that's a valid point. I don't think a bleed rapier is the most valid focus dps build. I was able to oneshot a light armor target with BB Combo though.

Issue is without any improvements to healing, no one going heal in pve or pvp situations. Perhaps if they had the numbers changed when flagged or in our or 3v3s, to scale down the healing or reduce healing when it's your offhand weapon.

Yes you keep the stacks on weapon swap. Super easy to keep 20 stacks constantly too

@@jiggyspice6809 haha wtf, some cheesy builds in arena/OPR incoming. I dig variety but maybe it’s time to add that pestilence passive with the out bound heals from all disease and increase the cap and all sources for just outbound so potions etc aren’t effected but healing is. Does it stack faster if it’s on multiple people?

Easiest solution would be to disable gem scaling in PvP so that we can actually enjoy these builds in PvE.

I understand how bad this can be causing a lot of players to start doing "healer dps" builds, but I am excited for it. Healing in new world is ass because you're so underpowered while solo pve'ing even with a hybrid pve setup. This will make it so that healers can actually enjoy some solo pve content for once. It'll be interesting for sure.

Actually they could probably make it not op simply by taking away healers ability to self heal with the life staff during pvp only.

Nerf self-sustain. Check. Give Healers DPS and CC. Check. I'd like to have access to the drugs they take at AGS. Needless to say, working on a Life Staff build too as everybody will be running it.

i feel like S4 is buffing all the already op annoying builds.. bow getting even more damage, as single target or dot build.. LS build is getting to do good damage, unkillable and u can whittle down folks, or assist ur group in dps. its becoming immpossible to defensivly spec against range damage, since they now cover the whole board of damage types. and other stuff i dont even wanna go into(cuz its mostly only when stuff gets known that it gets widely used/abused and becomes a real problem. it feels like the last few seasons have just been a war on lite melee dps playas n assasins.. we already have everything stacked against us, but they take the strengths away n nerf constant, all while buffing the ranged and already very op n common builds. and as soon as melee gets an artifact or cool new tech, the whole community of youtubers make vids, n then everyone cries its "broken op", and it gets removed or nerfed. (im surprised they havent nerfed the scorp spear sting pull or skill. with all the crying) i just dont get why they nerf certain things yet at the same time change or release other things, that makes even more op tech. 1 example: why make GS heavies so much slower and all the other nerfs they did to it, when the making ranged and like the boltcaster bow, do twice as much damage on heavies, with less windup(so faster) and from a safe distance.. is beyond me. and i cud list so many examples. also, why they constant try to kill n nerf self sustain healing? healers r so op, its ruff cuz almost always unbalanced with who has healer. and us solo guys dont have a pocket. it just makes for such unbalanced gameplay

im super excited about it i actually think bows die this patch go check out the new artifact pants its 37% ranged physical resistance then add a full set of ele aversion you have 18% add 2 emeralds in jewelry(=10% thrust protection) then have all opals 5 in armor 10%+2.5% for jewelry (if you don't run runeglass in armor its 2.5% x 6) you end with a grand total of 47% ranged physical and 30.5% ranged elemental(33% if you dont rune runeglass)

I play heal and I think this is really cool because to be honest. Playing a heal is boring as fuck. There is no point playing a heal in pvp and in pve it's just boring.

Yeh as soon as I saw these notes I thought... This won't be pretty Where was the motivation behind this massive gem revamp anyway? Where was the ask? What failings of the system needed this to address them? I think having simpler lines of damage was the beauty of the game and I actually never really liked the concept of split damage anyway. I'd have sooner seen this concept replaced with ways of adjusting boost sources (like opals etc) and every weapon retains its damage and scaling purely. This has just convoluted things so much and also skewed the entire game towards int and focus. Why? I suppose the benefit to ags now is that anyone can do anything (so long as it's not purely physical, of course, can't have that!) so there will be so many builds no one will be able to work out what is or isn't balanced. Kind of like trying to find the needle in the haystack of meta spam.
