Healing Your Relationship with Food: An IFS Approach ~ TRF Tuesday ~ Jeanne Catanzaro
This 4-part series focuses on healing eating and body-related issues using the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model. You’ll have the opportunity to explore some of the constraining beliefs and emotions that disconnect you from knowing what you want and need. You’ll also learn ways to get to know and work with the different parts of yourself who carry these burdens so that you can release them and more readily connect with your core wisdom.
4 Sessions:
1 - Intro to IFS: How Parts Get Burdened
2 - Healing Starts with Befriending Protectors
3 - Negotiating with Polarized Protectors
4 - Healing Personal Burdens to Contribute to Healing External Systems

Thanks so much for this series! I'm gonna listen to it over again. I was familiar with IFS before I listened to this. I wanted to comment that initially the reaction to parts can be skeptical or trepidatious. But when one does it a couple of times it starts to flow and become more natural. It's pretty amazing. It's can also be, that the thought is scary that we are all these parts. But it becomes freeing as one does it more. At least for me at has worked that way. It like before If I have had a bad feeling reaction to something I would just try to deal with the feeling. But now I think "are you a part". And as it becomes more fleshed out as having a life of it's own....it actually starts to feel less stressful and more spacious inside. It's all very fascinating:))
