Banpo Hangang Park is located in the southern riverside with Banpodaegyo (Jamsugyo) in the center and Hannamdaegyo and Dongjakdaegyo on both ends. It is near Banpo-dong in Seocho-gu and Heukseok-dong in Dongjak-gu. With 1,140 m of total length (570 m on each side), “Moonlight Rainbow Fountain” on both sides of Banpodaegyo, created as part of Hangang Renaissance Project, was recognized as the world’s longest bridge fountain in the Guinness Book of Records in 2008. Whenever the nozzles spout water, lights illuminate the bridge in a kaleidoscope of colors, creating a breathtaking view. The sports facilities in the Park include Water Bubble Playground, in-line Hub, soccer field, and basketball court while an observatory on the southern end of Dongjakdaegyo offers the fascinating skyline in Gangnam.
