I have been using this the last four nights and been sleeping with on my cell phone without headphones and I noticed that I didn't have any nightmares or which was fine with me because I rarely have a good dream. I think of all the chord progression cycles, this is the most pleasing and hence, most relaxing for me. A similar chord progression appears in The Fellowship of the Ring movie score after the fall of Gandalf, and is present in U2's song "Where The Streets Have No Name." From the comments, listeners find peace and I think the comfort of regular repeating musical structure. It's slowness tends to slow breathing and heart rate in those who focus, just as loud fast music has the opposite effect. As for healing, well it should be part of a holistic approach that includes multiple modalities
