You need to stop identifying as hypochondriac to stop that .. Just think of yourself as someone who has developed a problem with health anxiety and panic attacks and someone who is working on overcoming that .. Identifying is the problem believe me.. I know you get up in the morning and first thing that comes to you mind is ,, I am hypochondriac, what will my stupid brain come up with today .. Just stop labeling yourself with any label at all .. You are just human being trying to find the best way to live and that is it ..

Yeah. Don't really like the idea pushed here that it doesn't run in families. Not because it means then it's MORE randomized than it already is, just I don't have proof of it not being hereditary as far as some genes go, and I mean this for your parents. But yeah some people like the idea that they don't have a connection by nature of birth. But that's a coping mechanism that I'm not sure helps either.

The Anxiety Guy Dennis..in the future cancer will be like thr ccc ccc cccold..as harmless and easy to cure from.. people see cancer as a death sentence.. because they see movies and read everyday some one is dying from that. but the fear kills people faster than the cancer itself! what most people dont know is that we get cancer every day since we are born..our bodies just know how to kill it. information is power.. cancer and tumors are ur FRIEND! not the scary monster!! they tell u....HEY u need to stop doing whst ur doing and change ur lifestyle..this is just a sign!!!! a tumor holds bad cells before they spread...ur BODY loves u.. its intelligrnt and knows what its doing!!! faith!! am i right dennis?

Being diagnosed with cancer and worrying about cancer is two different things. I was just diagnosed with lymph node cancer and was from using medication for my Crohn's Disease, which I was born with. The medication was a known risk for developing lymphoma. So be assured, if you are born with a healthy body, and you make wise choices in what you eat, and exercise, you most likely aren't going to get cancer. If you worry all the time, you may develop a stomach ulcer.

Thank you for this video. I’ve had a fear of cancer for as long as I can remember. In the last 8 months both my Dad and Mother-in-law have been diagnosed with cancer. At first I thought I was coping brilliantly then in the last few months my anxiety over developing this myself is through the roof! In the last two weeks I’ve been to the doctors almost everyday and gone from fearing I have ovarian cancer on Thursday to today bowel cancer after spotting a little blood that sent me into an anxiety frenzy, and led to a trip to a&e because I’ve decided I don’t trust GP’s anymore. I can’t go in fearing this and am going to get help. Anyway I wanted to say that this video has made me feel a little better. I do look after myself fairly well already but I will definitely pay more attention to the wifi and Bluetooth.

Thank you for your advice. I had a check up with mild changes. I recovered from anorexia in 2018.and relapsed . Then the lovely doctor (sarcastic) He let me down and gave me a half result and then told me there was an abnormality. In 2020 i will be removed from his patient list and secondly I lost all the weight I had. I was a bit heavy at the time. I am now 6 and a half stone and wont gain weight. Sadly I have gone so far down I am almost emaciated and in pain when I lie down. All because I went to the wrong clinic.Fortunately I am still somewhat healthy because of a small bone structure.I improved what I ate but I am afraid if I gain too much fat which I am prone too as Im very small boned that I will worsen the issue. As for emotions I agree with that. I had two friend stat talked about the c word and I unfriended them. People say I am cold. I also stopped dating people I didn't love and I am working on moving house as the city is rough. Its my life on the line.

As someone whose health anxiety became its worst as a result of watching many others struggle with cancer, a video about cancer fear is really what I needed. However, you have a few misconceptions about lifestyle choices and cancer. Namely, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth - these are not industrial hazards and have no evidence that they are capable of causing cancer. Radiation, which is the concern for causes of cancer here (and in other situations), specifically refers to electromagnetic radiation - which is a spectrum of light and electromagnetic energy that travels in waves - including infrared, the visible light we see, ultraviolet, x-rays, etc. Each section of the spectrum and type of light has a certain range of wavelength and energy (for example, a long wave of light having low energy vs a short wave that is more energised). The concern about cancer is that radiation causes damage to your DNA, which acts like an operating system for your cell, containing information on what it needs to do - and if the information sequence in DNA is damaged or altered in disruptive ways, it can cause the cell to misbehave (think like the problems caused by a buggy computer program with typos in the code), inducing dividing more speedily and/or of control than other cells, or not undergoing apoptosis (controlled cell death) when it should in order to keep cell numbers in line. This results in cancer. However, the dangerous radiation that can cause DNA damage and cancer only encompasses the higher end of the electromagnetic spectrum; this type of radiation is called ionising radiation because the waves have enough energy that they can tear electrons off of atoms - ionising them - and consequently breaking the chemical bonds in the molecules in your cells, including DNA and proteins. If a biochemical molecule like DNA doesn’t have the right chemical bonds to the right elements in the right shape, it doesn’t serve its purpose the same way anymore. This results in the information stored in DNA becoming corrupted, in a way, because the chemical molecules that store the genetic information have been damaged - so the cell(s) start malfunctioning. However, the electromagnetic waves used by Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are not ionising radiation; they use a range of from radio waves at lowest to microwaves at highest, which are all lower/less energetic than infrared light, which is all lower in energy, in turn, than the visible light we see colours and objects with. The ionising radiation, on the other hand, is all higher in energy than the visible spectrum, and there are still wavelengths of light above visible light that still aren’t high enough in energy to be ionising radiation. Above the spectrum of visible light (in ascending order), there is the spectrum of ultraviolet rays, followed by x-rays and gamma rays. Ionising radiation starts at the higher end of the ultraviolet spectrum (which is why the UV rays from the sun are a skin cancer risk) and goes all the way through to gamma rays. So, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth do not need to be avoided in order to avoid cancer risks.

I dont know man. Ive seen people smoke 2 packs a day, drink like a fish and barley put a green leaf in them live to 80+. Ive also seen folks who try and take care of themselves die at 52 from c@#$×%. I know i should play the odds though. It scares me. It scares me to the point that i think my worry about it will manifest it! Can we affect our health through our mental and emotional emergy?

Dennis, Lately my anxiety was triggered by a night of drinking after months of constant drinking. Anyway I was taking 6k of vitamin D for two years without magnesium and now I have lots of magnesium deficient symptoms. Twitchy muscles, tired legs, sore muscles. The health anxiety kicked in full power and after doctor tests telling me I am ok, I am still freaking out and it sucks. Can’t sleep and I’m jittery often. Almost like you say I am always scared of the what if. What if this is MS or what if this is something worst. What if I can’t work for a living or what if I can’t walk tomorrow. It just sucks and I’ve been in this dark hole for like three weeks now but can’t get out.

The worst possible conclusions is usually much worse in the mind then in real life. Life will go on for you no matter what, but the desire to find answers to each symptom and the need to control what the body is going through will haunt you for life, until control is given up and a deeper understanding is gained.

I'm suffering from health anxiety for almost 6 years now and cancer is my biggest fear (alongside with strokes and heart attacks). I went through 5 long time therapies but it never helped, the anxiety is still there. So they put me on medication to make it possible for me to deal with life before anything bad can happen. The problem is...I was able to stop myself from google symptoms...but because I googled them SO MUCH before I know them by heart wihich feeds my anxiety constantly.I wish I can finally break this cycle to live a normal, happy life.

Julie my detox plan is quite simple. I only drink water and consume coconut oil (2 tablespoons 6 times separately throughout the day for a 48 hour period 4 times a year. It works for me, destroys candida, digestive problems and fungal infections but I’d start with a 24 version of this to monitor the effects and work up from there.

Thanks Dennis : lately I have been having terrible night time health anxiety. Either because of myself or what triggers it is one of my dogs or loved ones are sick and things beyond my control. I notice the anxiety more when it’s something I can not control and working with that to let the control go and or using my faith to but sometimes only thing I can do is let time go by and it does get better over a few hours however I’m so easily triggered still especially at night .. why is nighttime so hard ?

deb j Sounds like either an overstimulated mind and body, a dietary deficiency, and or a pairing your subconscious has created between a certain time of day and danger. Consciously pinpointing the cause that leads to the feeling will help you create a plan for its replacement.
