Күн бұрынToday I am sharing with you guys the recipe I used to make Charlie's smash cake! This recipe is sugar and egg free and a healthy alternative to a sugar filed birthday cake for your little ones!

Ingredients I used (for two 6 inch layers cakes):
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 ripe bananas
2/3 cups unsweetened applesauce
1/2 cup whole milk (could use almond milk for vegan option)
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Whipped Topping:
8 ounces heavy whipped cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Frozen blueberries (for decoration)

Lol, I have frosted A LOT of cakes! I make cakes pretty regularly! Yours still looked good though and Madison seemed to like it which is all that matters!

I’m so excited to try this! My daughter turns 1 next month and she loves blueberries! So I want to add blueberries and strawberries

Yay perfect! My son loves blueberries too! This cake was a huge hit! I even did it as cupcakes at his party and everyone thought they were great too!

In the original recipe she used two 4” cake pans and cooked it 20-23 minutes.

Yes! We try not to give my son anything with added sugar! He loved it, my husband says it tasted just like banana bread (I am not a fan of banana bread so I didn't try it lol)

You can do more banana or if you aren’t doing dairy free, melted butter, milk or sour cream. Not sure about the amount though.

Flour is vegan, most anyways. But you could also try oat flour, quinoa flour or coconut flour if you are wanting an alternative to regular flour.

I made this cake for my son he loved it but I used whole wheat flour, added semi sweet chocolate chips to the batter. For the whip cream I followed the same ingredients but melted some semi sweet chocolate chips and mixed it into the whip cream. For decoration I used some of those gerber baby puffs (: the star shaped ones. It
