We all have relationships with friends. Some may even become romantic! Sure, relationships can be complicated. Do you know the difference between a healthy relationship and an unhealthy relationship with a friend or romantic partner?

Xx*That _One_Person*xX Thats why i prefer casual frienships and don't compromise... I don't even have friends at my school and that doesn't affect me lol... tho i always have a small group of true friends to talk and hang out with. It's better that way, don't complicate frienship, not everyone is gonna be your friend. Only Three ir Two friends are already a blessing XD (Sorry if i have bad english)

Whenever i make friends they end up getting tired of me and throw me to the wayside for newer friends or romantic partners. It wouldn't bother me so much if it didn't happen EVERY SINGLE TIME. I remember thrid wheeling and it being torture like i can just feel the akwardness and pity radiating from the room, i remember being ghosted or flaked on countless of times.. I'm very anxious towards making friendships i just get a feeling I'm constantly unwanted and plain annoying. So i just hang by myself, while it can get lonesome I'm kinda glad in a way. I can't wait to get out of high school and just restart.

Thanks for your comment! Relationships can be complicated, and friends will come in and out of your life. If you feel like this relationship is unhealthy--leaving you feeling disrespected, devalued or unsafe--it's probably best to part ways. Your other best friend, if they are true friend, should understand and will hopefully stay friends with you. And you will definitely find new friends that give you the time and respect that you deserve in healthy relationship with them. Hope this helps.

Well, Your friends don't deserve you. And if your " best friend " only sticks with you BC of the unhealthy friend than you can dump them off at the trash dump because they aren't good for you. Take it's from me, My friends aren't the best of friends but they ain't toxic. When someone does become toxic/unhealthy, your more like wise to be a victim of being the vent to you but you can't vent to them or you give them smth and they don't give back anything in return. My best of luck w/you is; You are a better person and if you have friends who think of you as not much of a friend/will leave you instantly BC of another person. You can always do better, And you'll always be at the better end although you may not feel like it once you get out of that relationship.

If your other best friend won’t be friends with you if you’re not friends with somebody else, they’re not a good friend. I have multiple friends that have friends I personally am not friends with or don’t like. However, they have 0 problem with it. Nobody other than you gets to decide who your friends are.

I was in an unhealthy relationship for the longest time, my best friend started hanging out with her other friends so I stayed with her the girls created a friend group I didn't know most of them at all but I was determined to stay with my best friend. I was kinda the last one the third wheal, they had inside jokes, and whispered about me and laugh at me right in front of me, they told jokes about my personality and appearance, they never let me say anything or do anything, they didn't care when something bad happened. One time I told them my dog died so they decided it was best for me to just sit at the wall while they played a game, later I find out it's because they didn't want to deal with trying to comfort me about my dog. So I went right up to them told them I hate their guts and they are the worst people ever.

A toxic person likes you more when you don’t challenge them, they prefer to have an upper hand over you. It is important that you recognize the signs of a toxic relationship and act accordingly. When my husband started getting frequent night calls, I would ask and he would just wave off those calls as unimportant. "A healthy friendship should not involve teasing the other" Ppffftttt yeeaaahhh right my best friend of nearly 8 years and I will tease eachother all the time! Seriously we can never hold a proper conversation as no one else gets it, so we just mess around instead. This can result in anything from playful teasing to throwing hoodies and jumpers at eachother. Hecc we even dragged eachother around by a skipping rope once. We'll pull tassles from eachother's hoodies or untie the other's shoelaces some of the time as a joke. She even through her shoe at me not so long ago. And it's all a perfectly healthy relationship. So, not every friendship will involve not teasing or annoying the other a little at all. Sometimes it's good to do it, as long as it's clear you're not being serious.

It's important to understand that setting boundaries in a relationship is important. But it's also important to know that that's just one of two parts. I feel I was in an unhealthy relationship. There was a girl who used to be my closest friend. But I later realized she seemed very clingy. She would get upset when I told her I didn’t want to spend all my time with her, and when I hung out with my other friends. We have since gone our separate ways, and I feel okay talking with her now, but I just still get annoyed when I see her. Hi there! I just wanted the creators of this channel to know that I really appreciate you including an LGBT+ relationship in this video. I live in a homophobic state and the LGBT+ community is completely ignored and never mentioned, so when it was it felt like everyone in the room was finally being exposed to a more diverse crowd without it being a huge deal. I have a crush on a friend that is female and in 8th grade. I'm in 7th grade and female... I currently found out that I am lesbian... I don't want them to disown me. My parents thought I wasn't listening when on a show a gay person was on. They talked to each other during commercial and said "Yah know, I don't mind gay people, but I'm happy the kids aren't one of them..." and then my father said, "Yeah, if (my older brother) or (me) were gay, I'd probably be disappointed... I mean, there would be nothing we can do..."

Hey Caramel, we're so sorry to hear that your parents said that in front of you. If you need support before coming out, we recommend seeing if your school has a LGBTQ+ group. You can also search online for local groups. The more support you have from people already within the community, the more it will be hopefully easier to talk to your parents when you're ready.
