All the fancy eqiupment on the planet can never replicate the sheer amount of force 33 rocket engines produce. It was a phenomenal 3rd attempt!! Bravo SpaceX!!!

I’d be jumping around in circles too. I was at work watching the launch with a meeting in the next room and fought so hard to keep myself from whooping and hollering during hot staging and as the booster made re-entry😂

They failed to land the booster which hit the water at 690mph, presumably due to all engines not firing for the "landing" on water. The starship burnt up on re-entry. But damn, the video of the re-entry or the start of the re-entry in such high definition was worth everything. They managed to fix the issues with the booster engines all firing on launch in this and the last attempt, the starship did everything right, the starship reached orbit, but I suspect the hundreds of tiles we saw flying off the starship is what caused it to burn up. So two things need attention , the tiles and the bosoter landing engine control. I am sure they will fix this very quickly, although the tiles are a serious problem.

As they mentioned, they already have 4 ships ready to go basically, I could bet quite few changes have hapen already and we just need to wait for the next test flight

I just watched the replay of Starship28 start re-entering. I saw lots of ice (white slivers) coming off. I did not see any tiles. (Would have shown white and black as they tumbled)

@@David-yo5ws Hard to say, some particles did looked more like some solid thin material chunks and not just ice. It could be that heat tiles started to break apart and those ceramic tiles just made those ice like chunks. We will know more in few days after we get more information about all this and more people investigates recordings frame by frame.

It’s a private rooftop only for photographers and filming. Closed to the public. Probably best to watch from Isla Blonca Park
