Tears in Heaven" is a ballad written by Eric Clapton and Will Jennings about the pain Clapton felt following the death of his four-year-old son, Conor, who fell from a window of the 53rd-floor New York apartment of his mother's friend, on March 20, 1991. A song that will touch the very depths of all who listen to it.🙏

Eric always dealt and coped with things through music. He's a better person for not giving up

There is a heartbreaking story behind this song. Eric Clapton wrote this song as a memorial to his four year old son Conor, who on March 20, 1991, died after falling from the 53rd floor window of a New York City apartment belonging to a friend of Conor’s mother. Clapton wrote this song to deal with his grief.

Once you know why and for who he wrote this you can never hear it the same way again. 😢

Beautiful song. I knew what it was about and as a father and grandfather it is truly heart breaking.💔💔

This is the first of 2 songs he wrote about his son Connor. The other song is "My father's eyes". That one is also worth seeing if you haven't seen it yet.
