BABYMETAL started back in 2010 and since then have performed with, toured with, or opened for Metallica, Korn, Sabaton, Bring Me The Horizon, Dragonforce, Guns N' Roses, Lady Gaga, Rob Halford of Judas Priest (there's a great youtube video of their performance with Rob at a metal award show), and Red Hot Chili Peppers (there is a youtube video of them performing Gimme Chocolate with RHCP, as well as with Korn, and DragonForce), to name a few of many. They have performed at large metal events/concerts in front of 65,000+ skeptical metalheads in Europe (Glastonbury, Download, Sonisphere, etc), US, and Asia. They are the first Japanese band to perform at Wembley arena in the UK. 20+ awards have been given to them. They have 60+ songs and each one is different from the other, so I hope you give the other songs a try. By the way, they have some really great heavy songs too, and I hope you like guitar solos, as well as bass and drum solos, like I do, because they have them too.🤘🦊🤘

Welcome to the Foxhole and BabyMetal's metalverse 🦊🤘🌐 What a great way to start your journey binging with BM songs and these singles from last album released last month, but to really know how do they get here you need to go back more than 10 years to understand this beautiful madness. BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old when started this and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms. Their name is a reference to a new genre and not related to their ages or "baby" faces, is a pun intended play words with "heavy-metal" which sounds similar to "baby-metal". They are: *SuMetal* lead vocalist, now 25. *MoaMetal* scream and dance, now 23. *YuiMetal* scream and dance, former member since 2018. *MomoMetal* scream and dance, she's 20 and is the new official member since April 1st recently. None of them are related. After 2018 you'll see backup dancers performing along with them but none of them are official members, they don't sing, only dance, but that status change recently like i said. A week ago they started the Sabaton's Europe Tour as special guests, and fans at Cardiff were really lucky witnessing the live debut with dance choreography of METAL KINGDOM, but so far they didn't performed Mirror Mirror yet. Today they released another official MV of one of the new song called METALIZM and is totally a blast, also today in Paris they performed this song as well in Leeds. Keep travelling this journey coz you gotta a long way but don't worry you'll get on time when they arrive to your country performing a lot of live shows including festivals. Welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole.🦊 BABYMETAL are like nothing you will have seen or heard before. They are Su-metal (lead vocalist), Moametal and since the start of this month Momometal (backing vocals, harmonies but mainly in charge of dance, leading the audience, getting everybody involved and joining in). The third original member, Yuimetal, sadly left the band in October 2018 having been absent from the stage for the previous 12 months. She had ongoing (and undisclosed) health issues. Su and Moa continued as a duo through to their 10th anniversary and a bit beyond, supported by 3 dancers (the Avengers) dancing in the third spot (Momoko was the only remaining Avenger from about March 2020 and was finally revealed as the new third member on 1st April this year). BABYMETAL started in 2010 as a sub-unit of a school themed J-Pop Idol group called Sakura Gakuin. As members of that group they would sing songs and dance, the sub-units (like after school clubs) would also have their own themed songs (tennis, cooking, science etc). BABYMETAL were the heavy music club and they were formed around Su-metal's extraordinary vocal talents and stage presence - she was still only 12 but their producer, Kobametal, had seen her a year or two before singing with her previous Jpop trio and was so impressed that he was inspired to create some sort of Metal-pop fusion if he could work with her and have her front the band. In 2013 Su would be 15 and would graduate from Sakura Gakuin (having the school theme it was for girls aged 10 to 15), but it was decided that BABYMETAL should be her vehicle as she furthered her career as a vocalist and should separate from the Idol group to go with her as an independent band in their own right. BABYMETAL have gone on to become one of the very best live bands on the planet (and have won international awards to prove that is not just my opinion). Their big arena shows are spectacular, but they put on great shows every time, even in smaller venues and festivals as they tour the world where they can't always have all the special effects and flames etc too. They are supported in live shows by the Kami Band - some of Japan's very best session musicians, each one of them a world class instrumentalist. They were phased in gradually from October 2012, BABYMETAL had started with little or no extra budget so they sang to a backing track at the start and when they started doing their own small shows guys in skeleton suits (Babybones) would pretend to play the instruments. The Kami Band played at a couple of festivals and the encores in some shows. The Legend 1997 concert (Su-metal's 16th birthday party) in December 2013 was the last big show where the Babybones appeared and the Kami Band played only the encores. The Kami Band became the full time support for all live shows at the start of 2014 and have been with BABYMETAL ever since - but only for live shows, they do not record the studio versions. They have about 60 songs now, every one of them is different. They have songs in virtually every metal genre but will mix in other musical styles and genres with the metal. Some songs lean towards their pop roots others are just good hard metal and they do everything in between - so if you don't like one song try another, the chances are you'll love it.

I am an old headbanger. been retired 5 and 1/2 years give or take. about 9 months into my retirement CD player went sneakers up. radio stunk. Then my daughter introduced me to KZfaq and BABYMETAL! They saved my musical soul. They proved to me that there was still good music out there to enjoy. Specifically from Japan. Enjoy. But down the line if you wish to dip a toe further into Japanese female bands, may I suggest some bands in the order that I found them; where BABYMETAL led me. Band-Maid Aldious Mary's Blood Lovebites Bridear Nemophila Hanabie...and there are so many more... Enjoy.

Hello, BABYMETAL is a project born in 2010, as part of an Idol group, in the mind of their producer KobaMetal, it was supposed to deliver outstanding live performances, they literally began with a small fake wood ⚰️ on a even smaller stage, in few years they grew to become a worldwide phenomenon. Metal Kingdom is the first song of their last album, The Other ONE, and it's written as an opening song, their music video shows only part of that, the live version is even cooler. And yeah,usually they mix studio recordings and live performances in their MVs, there are only few exceptions where it's actually 100% footage from their shows: Ijime Dame Zettai from Sonisphere 2014 Road of Resistance from Saitama Super Arena 2015 Karate from Dowload 2016 Distortion from Dowload 2018 Ijime Dame Zettai from BUDOKAN 2021 But there's plenty of clips and compilations available all over KZfaq. Few weeks ago Momoko Okazaki joined as MOMOMETAL, Scream and Dance BABYMETAL's journey so far is so fascinating, it would well deserve a movie 🎬.
