And Nancy went on to be in (a small part) Fast Times at Ridgemont High. And marry Cameron Crowe (who wrote that movie, and went on to direct many movies, greatest of which is Almost Famous) and Nancy helped write music for that movie, for the fake band Stillwater, and instrumental pieces as the score.

Barracuda is good but for me it's Crazy on You. When Nancy plays that intro and kicks up that leg, you know what's coming and it's wild. I actually saw them do all these "classic" tunes way back in 1977 during their "Little Queen" tour.

@@vernhoke7730 ~ That's cool. But I think every band has a track or two which gets overplayed. In Heart, that song for me would be *"Crazy On You."* I was ok with it when it first came out. Then the radio stations in my area just played that song to death. So I don't even listen to it anymore...😏🎸🎶

"Dog and Butterfly" and then "Dreamboat Annie" are so of the in the moment for them. "Dreamboat Annie" is a short, sweet ballad that both Ann and Nancy get to show out on. The live performance from the 70's is the best for that one. They always used "Dreamboat Annie" as the intro of "Crazy on You".

I have a Heart recommended that's a bit unusual, but you won't regret it. Go listen to them perform the song NO ONE should cover, and everyone does anyway... STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN. They did it for a Kennedy Center Honors for Led Zeppelin, right to their faces. Now this is a song that's been mangled so badly by so many amateurs, the guys in that band allegedly never want to personally hear it covered. Then the Wilson sisters get up there and put on a performance so epic, you can see shots of Robert Plant by the end LITERALLY crying with joy.

It's a Mini-Moog [pronounced (well, I'm pretty sure you know how "mini" is pronounced 🙄😋 "moe-g" ...Just like the inventor's name.]. The first synthesizer ever produced. The band: Ann Wilson: Lead vocals, harmony vocals, hand percussion Nancy Wilson: guitars {electric and acoustic, rhythm and some lead), backing vocals, Michael DeRosier ['duh-rozhe-yer']: Drums and percussion [One of the ultimate bad-asses. - Truly! -He is an under-appreciated rock legend!] Roger Fisher: Lead and rhythm guitars (electric) Steve Fossen: Bass, backing vocals Howard Leese: Keyboards, Guitars (electric and acoustic), Mandolin, etc., etc., etc. [Leese was never, really, listed as a "full member" of the band (for whatever reason); he was, like, a "back-up"/additional player (until their '80s reboot, when he, basically, took Roger Fisher's place.), but he toured with Heart and played on every album, I think (up until the Passionworks album, maybe🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ - I forget what the line-up was, then. Sorry.)] THAT is yo' BAND! ...And they are bad-asses!!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘⚡🤘 -As you can see, here: Roger Fisher (the guy with the Les Paul) and Howard Leese (the guy with the modified Tele - who, also, plays the Moog part!) are the guitar players trading leads and harmonies on this. 👍

[And, NO: you CAN'T bring up "T.O.N.T.O." 🙄🙄 - It was built out of Moog parts, and others ...and was a, completely, unique development.] (Funny: I nearly always get negatively criticsized for NOT "shorthanding"" things! 😂🤣🤦‍♂️🙄🤷‍♂️)

The first concert I ever went to was Heart in support of Dreamboat Annie opening for The Beach Boys (yes, really). Try to imagine the impact of the Wilson sisters on a 13-year old boy. Not just physically, but musically. Dreamboat Annie was the first album I ever bought, and I still have it to this day, some 44 years later. I’m pretty sure my preference for guitar-oriented progressive rock / metal is because of this.

I remember when this song came out. It was all the rage. This was one of the first rock groups featuring girls, to kick it with the big boys, making a name in the rock world. Thank you for playing this. It's a timeless song, that still sounds great today. Ann, the lead singer, had that great rock/blues edge to her voice, while her sister, Nancy was more soft spoken. Nancy preferred being a up vocalist. Her joy came from playing her guitar with the band. Nancy did an excellent guitar solo on one of your other video reactions, called "Crazy On You". A very talented sister team, They still sound great today.
