It's interesting seeing Nancy playing an electric guitar during this period. Normally when I see her playing any guitar from this era it's usually an acoustic guitar and not an electric. In fact, it wasn't until later on that she really played more electric guitars.

Ann was a talent beyond compare at this point. I remember being mesmerized by this song as a small child and I still am... every time it comes on the radio. She bridges the gap between the heavy rock kick butt stuff and Joni Mitchell type folk magic.

Cold, late night so long ago When I was not so strong you know A pretty man came to me I never seen eyes so blue You know, I could not run away it seemed We'd seen each other in a dream Seemed like he knew me, he looked right through me, yeah "Come on home, girl" he said with a smile "You don't have to love me yet, let's get high awhile But try to understand, try to understand Try, try, try to understand, I'm a magic man" he said... Winter nights we sang in tune Played inside the months of moon "Never think of never let this spell last forever" Well, summer lover passed to fall Tried to realize it all Mama says she's worried, growing up in a hurry, ooooh yeahhhhhh "Come on home, girl" Mama cried on the phone "Too soon to lose my baby yet, my girl should be at home" But try to understand, try to understand Try, try, try to understand, he's a magic man, ohhhh Mama, ah He's a magic man. "Come on home, girl" he said with a smile "I cast my spell of love on you, a woman from a child" But try to understand, try to understand Ohhhhhhh, ohhhhhh, Try, try try, try, try to understand, He's a magic man, oh, he's got the magic hands Oh's over top "Come on home, girl" he said with a smile "You don't have to love me yet, let's get high awhile" But try to understand, try to understand Try, try, try to understand, he's a magic man, yeahhhh, ohhhhh 👁️🗨️👁️🗨️

@@christine3043from what I heard, they both cheated on each other
@joyk23277 ай бұрын
@@ShelbiPeters Roger pursued her from day one, and she rejected him for a long time, until she finally gave in to his insistence. Roger was a party-goer and had drug and alcohol problems. This was disenchanting Nancy, and when she found out that he was unfaithful to her she was "crushed" (he has admitted that he was a playboy). Eventually, she began to notice Derosier and after her breakup with Roger, she began dating him. Roger went crazy, because he realized that he still loved her: "Many of us are with our significant others and we don't necessarily know it" (Fisher). He began to have erratic behavior and his performance in the band dropped, annoying the rest of the bandmates, until one day he exploded on stage, breaking his guitar during a show. Later backstage, he threw parts of that guitar, missing Nancy's head, which led to his subsequent dismissal (by vote) from the band. "“It kind of boiled down to the fact that with the help of a certain someone that we won’t name, they found out that I was unfaithful to her and she was crushed. When that happened her very protective older sister was infuriated obviously and so we broke up. During the breaking up process I was really depressed because I was in love with Nancy in a very deep and spiritual good way but I was also entangled with her in a very indulgent way and a kind of addiction. Many of us are with our significant others and we don’t necessarily know it, but as we get older I think that gets less and less. I was completely entangled with her on every level. To break up with her and to still be on tour with her was so incredibly difficult. It was just a bad scenario and I had to leave the group. I was voted out on Halloween night 1979 by the rest of the band." Roger Fisher. "When Roger was sober, there we times when I felt a deep sweetness from him. He was always writing poems for me, though I never knew if they were strictly for me or for girls in general. His poems always had a feel as if they were written for “sexy girls that I like.” He was simply unable to be monogamous, and after a time that made me move away emotionally. That fall I developed a crush on our drummer Michael Derosier and told Roger I couldn’t see him anymore. Roger had been unfaithful to me so many times that I felt justified in my feelings for Derosier, and vindicated. But it was the stupidest thing I have ever done-getting involved with someone else in our band, thinking Heart could still continue as a musical unit after that. It was ugly, and it got uglier still. Roger did not take the news well. He was angry, hurt, and he told me that all the other women he’d been with hadn’t mattered to him. None of that swayed me. I was completely infatuated with Derosier, and I wasn’t with Roger anymore. I know it was hard, but I never understood how Roger, who was repeatedly unfaithful, could know anything about “heartbreak.” ...The show ended with Roger smashing his guitar. Backstage he threw part of the guitar at me, and it whizzed by, just missing my head. Roger later claimed that if he had intended to hit me, he would have, and that he was in control. From what I witnessed, he seemed out of control, and, at that point, so was our band." Nancy Wilson. "I choose to believe that she loved me in a way, and continues to, but because of our inability to harmonize personally at the time, she knew we couldn’t be together. And I still hold very strong feelings for her that can never be diminished, no matter what. There are some things that are irreversible and permanent." Roger Fisher
@joyk23277 ай бұрын
@@paulcooper5748 It wasn't such a short time. It was four years, according to Roger. I really think that Nancy always looked for a stable and lasting relationship, like her parents. She was with Cameron Crowe for about 27 years (and she was reluctant to accept the breakup) and she has been with her current husband for about 12. But with Roger between parties and girls, it wouldn't be possible.
