This if a very different kind of video that I have shared today and would really appreciate your feedback. With such huge life changes lately, the traditional planner videos seemed out of place.
Less than a year ago, we decided on a whim to leave our perfect comfortable lives in NYC to live on a farm far far away from people and modern day amenities.
This way of living is HARD but so rewarding and I hope to share more of our journey with you all in hopes that it could inspire others to take a leap of faith and follow your hearts to live a life of adventure and one worth living.
I know that I have been deeply inspired by garden videos to put on a jacket and head out into my garden to prepare for the 2024 growing season.

I have been a teacher in NYC (Queens) since 2015 and have lived in Long Island my whole life. My dream is to get off the grid and live closer to nature one day. ❤ I would like a small farm with goats 😂

Hi Cathleen! Thanks so much for sharing. I grew up in Queens and LI for most of my life. I left for college and never wanted to go back. As a teacher, you will be successful wherever you go. I encourage you to follow your dreams no matter how difficult or impossible it may seem. In the worse case, you can always go back to NYC but in the best case, you will live on your small farm with goats eating food that you grew! Either way, you will live a life without regrets. ❤️ wishing you all the best and hope that you will keep me posted! I will tell you, in my short time here, my understanding is that many of us are moving out from the cities. Especially the generation with young children which means the need for teachers is growing in the areas that you wish to move to! Also, my mother in law is a 5th grade teacher. Thank you for doing what you do each day! We visited with her students recently via zoom to talk about STEM and they loved how we use math in farming. 😊
