Really hoping these videos reach
someone, I'm not sure who...
The interface I'm using is very
limited.
I figure I should start including
the original recording dates in
these descriptions, as well as
the file names.
It might be useful for future
reference.
This video is a recording of
Iteration 5.
I've seen this location before
while I was watching them
recently, but I'm pretty sure
this was recorded before
Iteration 6 was born, which is
probably why nothing happened...

worth noting is that quote has the snake and the nemesis this time around, where last time he had the machine gun, no snake, and no nemesis. also worth noting is that quote somehow has both the snake and the fireball at once, as well as the blade and nemesis at once, both of which aren't normally possible. (edit) looking back again i don't think he had the booster 0.8 either, it's possible the player didn't use it for whatever reason but it's a lot more plausible i think that they just didn't have it.

So the terminal mentions a tranfser request to I6, and the description remarks that nothing happened because Iteration 6 hadn't been born yet. So iterations probably aren't strictly linear, like one iteration ends and the next begins. They exist at the same time and things (or Quote, specifically?) can be transfererd between them. Saying that iteration 6 hasn't been *born* yet is interesting. This video is called heart, an older video has a message saying "nerve file not found..." There's a lot of imagery of these 'iterations' having body parts. I wonder if they might be alive somehow.

I had been wondering about the “born” word choice as well. I hadn’t tied together how it connected to the other examples of body parts though… great point on that one.

the wide open spaces with the randomized assortment of blocks placed around is kind of unnerving to me for one reason or another i wonder if theyre a common thing i also kinda wonder what the transfer request would have entailed

it’s very unnerving to me as well, they seem so lifeless in comparison to the levels in the cave story iteration we got

those same open spaces give me anxiety if there is going to be a giant hideous monster appearing at anytime.

i imagine this is the ai "breaking down" as it goes deeper and deeper into the generation. almost like what happens with real AI sometimes, stuff like older versions of AIDungeon- it's really unnerving

the description in the next video implies these "iterations" and their "controllers" are still running- perhaps their point is to try and explore the entire labyrinth? it's so bizarre, though...

it seems noteworthy to me that the description refers to iterations being "born" rather than, say, "made", or if we're to believe this is algorithmic i suppose "generated"
