I honestly challenge anyone to make it through this dry-eyed. Even though this was written with different intentions for his father, this is such a touchingly beautiful tribute to his dad.

Nope...I don't know if it's possible...I think that's why it's so gut wrenching, since initially this was for his dad's success in overcoming his depression...😪

It is a beautiful song. The "official" video is very moving because Sam is playing his Dad in the video, and we hear his voice on the phone. I really can't believe how he made it through this performance - I am just a mess whenever I hear it

I had watched the official video and the behind the scenes video just prior to his dad passing - and that made me tear up then! Now it is all just heartbreaking but also beautiful.

Hi hope you and yours are well. So it turns out that the rock I live under is more like a boulder I guess, as I've never heard of Sam. He has a haunting high voice that had me crying in 10 seconds for his loss. Thanks for and take care.

I love this song because my late dad was my hero because he served in ww2. To keep people free , I only found out later in life that he meet my mum when he was on leave at a pub and fell in love with her and a week later asked her to marry him so a week later the wed,the stay together till she passed away,my dad passed away in 2000.

Hello! I'm working on a Reaction Concert to Time Will Fly, Hero, and Hero (live) and I'd love to incorporate your reaction. Do you mind if I do that? The concert is intended to be a sort of reaction embrace for Sam after he lost his dad. I'm trying to create these concerts in such a way that they promote the reaction channels I'm using content from, but I also respect y'all way too much to want to make you angry or feel used. Right now I'm: (1) putting your channel name on the video whenever you speak so people can find you, (2) creating a youtube playlist with all the reactions used in a concert, and (3) shouting out prominently used reactions in the description field.
