That was indeed the coolest game ever. I can't believe how many Tome's you got and I DEFINITELY can't believe he turned all of those Ambushes to his advantage. That was pretty epic.

It is so much more fun not to see constant Net-Decks. Imagine the joy I felt when a hunter opponent played Sir. Finley on turn one and chose Armor Up. That never happens at higher rank.

I agree. This month is the first time I've ever really worked on "climbing the ladder". Most months I would just get to rank 20 for the card back, but now I'm rank 13, and it is absolute cancer. I mean, at rank 20+ you'd see the occasional net-deck, but now I'm seeing maybe 1 in 10 homebrew decks. It's not fun to play like this.

+DetachTheMind Indeed. Sadly the allure of net decks is very strong. Even if a person has the cards and the imagination to create a good deck of their own, many either lack the confidence or simply expect net decks to be better simply on the basis of them being net decks. Sad but true. There is nothing more boring or predictable as a Shaman who plays Tunnel Trog on turn one, or a Warlock who plays Possessed Villager.

This is why I play wild...loads of interesting decks there. I only ever play my own decks and I'm currently rank 9 with them and see enough interesting decks of players own creation to not be annoyed about the occasional secret paladin :P

My favorite decks are high RNG Mage and Priest decks, because of the crazy games like this that can result from them. Funny enough, my best results always seem to come from a matchup of the two classes.

It's always been weird to me that the only people that seem to be trying stuff are either at Rank 20 or the high teens. I guess when you have nothing to lose, might as well try something interesting...I just wish this was standard throughout Ladder rather than exclusive to the low rankings.

its easier to win with the weird decks at lower ranks, so unless every single person decided to play weird priest decks, you'd pretty much lose 100% of the time up higher

Why is it weird? People playing bad decks will naturally drop in rank that is how ladder works. The reason these decks are intresting is because they are bad and as such no one plays them. It's not that high rank or legend players don't try out new intresting stuff. Secret paladin was at somepoint probably a very intresting deck to try out but it turned out to be good and as such became a meta deck. At which point is stops being an intresting deck.

What do you mean "when you have nothing to lose"? Nobody but professional tournament players ever has anything to lose, it's a game. You don't even gain anything for winning aside from slightly more dust. That's kinda why it's so baffling to me that there are so many tryhards in this game, they grind boring decks for hours upon hours every single month and they have literally nothing to show for it.

The Message's Movies Your lack of understanding baffles me. Very clearly he means your rank. It's not very important your not losing money or your life or whatever. But some people enjoy trying to rank up. Alot of people enjoy trying to be a little competitive at a thing. You don't have to be a pro to enjoy that. Have you never once in your life thought i wanna win? I wanna do better then someone else? Have you never looked at a highscore and tried to beat it?

I've been tearing it up on Wild with my old Dreadsteed lock modified a bit, it's a lot of fun. No clue why people don't play Wild more. There is more diversity there and you can rank and get rewards just the same.

In the current meta the only reason to run a Murloc would be Anyfin Pally, so it's pretty much a 2 damage to all minions in the state the game is.

Just came from stealth 17 WGRD Vid. to here, and oh hello ;) I always play my own Decks, never gonna progress over Rank 10, but with enough time and aggressive Decks, I probably could. Just don't like to see Hearthstone as a competitive Game, I prefer playing Reno-Mistcaller-Yogg-C'Thun-N'zoth Shaman, fuck the Meta!!

Rank 19-18 is like some weird different dimension when it comes to the decks you see in it. every different regions the same too. Always rank 19-18, you see the craziest shit, you`ll be in rank 20 playing against generally ok decks, then enter the void at 19 and be the wtf is this? Then rank 17 and back to normallity and you wonder what just happened.
