Rarran, RegisKillbin, Zeddy, trump, thijs, kripp and other hearthstone youtubers all play different hs gamemodes. Duels, Battlegrounds, Standard, Arena and Wild are in the game that can new cards from new expansions to climb and win HS games.
Hearthstone is a card game based on WOW, it is also a digital card game.

@@IncubiAkster honestly I think HS is a fun game but it always feels so bad to come back to after taking a break. You don’t have any cards and it costs so much to catch back up. LoR is so f2p that even when I took a 6 month break I could come back and craft whatever deck I wanted without spending anything

I was surprised he was able to in ranked matches given how he played, but I guess Iron players aren't that great. The Bard Zed deck is probably also good for beginners.

@@NKrypt yup agreed, I prefer the HS design due to the absolute whackiness of the interactions and pace it provides. LoR is slower in pace compared to HS but I love LoR of how welcoming they are to new players

I recently started playing Runeterra after seeing your videos with Snnuy. It's so much more fun than Hearthstone. Being able to actually do something in response to what the opponent does feels so much better than watching the opponent play the game without you. I have yet to have a loss in Runeterra that felt bad. Sure I've gotten crushed in some games, but it always felt like I had things to do and maybe sometimes you just draw bad, it happens, but always had an opportunity to make a play. In Hearthstone, nothing feels worse than watch the opponent play 15 generated cards in a turn or draw their whole deck while you just sit there helpless to do anything to stop it. Lots of losses in Hearthstone left me feeling like the game wasn't fun. I still have fun in Runeterra even if I lose.

LoR is great but im playing from start and there were better and worse metas but i think old expansions were better (champs were more interesting than some ilaoi bard jhin annie….) i was always on swimstrims twich and whatching how he s time traveling 😂😂😂 and looking on new cards before they are added to the game I always hated how devs were teasing us😈😈😈there was one day with only support cards and the another was finally new champ . But in the end it was good old times

It's the opposite for me, I come back for a few games and I'm forced into playing their trash PVE and handheld with flashing lights on everything. I'm not stupid, I can count and if in doubt Oracle's eye has more functionality than their new forced "features" anyway.

it's honestly really cool seeing a new player's enthusiasm for my favorite cardgame!!! hope you keep playing runeterra, love your hearthstone content even as a non-hearthstone gal but it is exciting to imagine where you'll go with this one! (also, hope this isn't overstepping, but here's some unsolicited gameplay advice: having a strong board presence/big stats isn't as automatically gamewinning in runeterra as it is in hearthstone. there are a lot of ways to interact with the enemy's board, and so long as you can block or remove their strongest units the game isn't lost - for instance when the enemy played the thicc kinkou wayfinder at the end of this vid, that was a powerful play but definitely not game over!)

@@tuliocolaco2045 I don't play ranked, but Iron seems easier than non-ranked based on what I saw of his stream. I know Bard + elusives is cracked, but Rarran barely knew how to play the game and he was crushing.

@@SuperLotus ranked is generally speaking better to play in any game. You get matched with players who match your skill level. In normals you can face off a diamond+ players who just want to play jank decks that are not so great but their payoff would be amazing.

@@juhoikar Oh, ok. I'll give ranked a shot. There's even masters players like Snnuy who sometimes play Normal. I assumed ranked would be super competitive, but I guess the really competitive players are already at the higher levels of ranked.

If you ever want to learn the archetypes and how they work, you can try playing some of the challenges. It's like a tutorial, although you can learn by playing instantly against players, but I recommend doing the challenges too because they do a good job at explaining how certain effects works.

@@bradleymoore2797 it give some xp, but you get way more by doing first 3 pvp win/3 campaign win everyday for a total of 2600xp for 6 win, the few following match will give 200xp, at some point you will fall to 50xp per match and only then it will become more rewardfull to do the challenge, which give 100xp all the time, but honestly, at this point, if you play that much, you don't need the challenge to learn the mecanics.

I used to play Hearthstone during the Ben Brode era and your content about looking back at the old expansions reminded me of the love I felt for the game back then. You can play as many champions from your regions as you want, as long as there are no more than 3 copies of each, and you don't have more than 6 champion cards in your deck, including their copies. So you can put 3 copies of one, and 3 copies of another, 6 different champions but only 1 copy of each, no champions, or anything in between.

Yesss play more Runeterra! Play through all of the Challenges (there are a lot) and you will get a ton of free XP and learn what every mechanic and keyword does!

In Runeterra playing on curve is not that important as it is on Hearthstone, that is probably the hardest thing to learn from players that come from that game.

Based on your mulligans your Chat never told you how to properly mulligan. Always mulligan for your chime units/cards, in particular you want the 1 and 2 mana chime units to start every game.

Chimes are actually a great deck, but I don't reccomend it for begginers.I don't know if you know much more about LOR than I think(And sorry if You are)But, there are decks that are easier to play.Here are my popular deck suggestions to learn and play: - MF Scouts - Jhin Annie - Lurk - Pirate Agro - Spider Elise(Budget deck) These decks are to climb ranks fast, that also explains why all of it was agro.Thanks for reading

9:11 Not sure if anyone corrected or not, but attack with elusives first to put in damage so the opponent has to answer them first directly. If opponent had some form of lifesteal they could have potentially blocked into non-elusives first to gain life before taking damage. Wasn't a factor here but the order of attack does matter in clinch situations.

Elusives was how I go started playing LoR too. If you plan on playing ranked again with a beginner deck with a different feel compared to elusives, I'd suggest trying out Lurk. You can watch Snnuy's guide on it too if you want. Its still about playing units on curve but you win by attacking with huge attack units, even the cheap ones.

Ask any questions you may have and we'll help you. One of the greatest things I'll critique on the game is that when you first start it tosses you into the PVE campaign instead of the tutorial for some extremely baffling reason.

Do the challenges. They explain a lot. They're basically tutorials ('challenges' is a weird name, but they're like puzzles I guess). The other thing is what passes your turn. Summoning a unit, casting a slow or fast spell passes your turn. Burst and focus spells don't pass your turn. If multiple spells are cast, the last one cast resolves first. So it's in the reverse order. That's why it's a very reactive game. Also, save certain spells for when you're in combat to surprise your opponent.

I'm glad you're enjoying the game. I ditched Heartstone for LoR like 1 year ago and I'm not missing it a bit. Hearthstone was entertaining but as a casual player, it was too "Pay to HAVE FUN", that was just sad. Now I'm having entertainment with LoR and also can play every meta deck and every meme deck that could ever exist.

Some advice to your play at around 8:35 You played Zed into 4 Mana from your opponent. Ionia has some recall spells that are probably in his deck (Homecoming, Will of Ionia, etc.) Recalls would remove any buffs he has and bring him back to 3/2 and it would also stop you from attacking with Zed this turn. I would have played a 1 drop first to see if he wants to use some of his Mana and play Zed as your second action. That leaves him with less counterplay, if he doesn't pass
