I recently came back, but it’s off and on. There’s just too much that I can’t control, there are games where I feel like even if I played the most optimally I will still lose. Especially in Wild where I play. Standard just has a bunch of cards and deck I don’t have and can’t afford.

I actually think Hearthstone had significantly more bad cards at the time. Can't speak for post-2017, but as someone picking up M:TG right now who was semi-pro at Hearthstone back then, M:TG feels like there's so few cards that are just completely purposeless.

Idk I actually thought the Gibberer and the weapons were fine, because at the beginning Rarran was explaining that it has to summon something and it "has to be on the board before the end of the turn." So both of those would be fine as long as you make the attack or proc the Spellburst.

I almost quit because the game is about building a LETHAL damage board on a single turn, buffing minions in hand and sometimes decks beyond doubling it's stats, 30 damage from hand stuff and how frustrating playing control is currently As a Control deck I have seen so many bs that I was almost done playing... Relying on heavy control is a bad win con apparently if you aren't a warrior putting 6 uninteractive bombs on youe oponent's deck

But every card summons by the end of the turn. Done, then revisit this later and enforce the rule beforehand lol

I quit because they kept making new cards without reworking the dust system. "BuT tHeY gOtTa MaKe MoNeY" don't care, when you make and manage an online game, and keep updating cards, you gotta respect your playerbase, all of them even the F2P players. Also Ben B left Hearthstone was a big hit, but it took a few months for me to hang my coat, wasn't worth the money or the dust to keep playing.

Another video idea: You and Eddy build 3 decks, and you have to build those decks such that all of the following deck building restrictions are used: All odd All even No duplicates All legendaries No Neutrals No Spells So, the first deck could be a no spell, all legendary deck The second deck could be all even legendaries, and the last could be no neutral, all odd. Or any other combo you can think up, as long as you use all 6 restrictions

Firestone is a free and decent deck tracker, but honestly I don't see much of a point. I'm a platinum hearthstone player so I'm not the best, though I've also played hearthstone for My highschool going to the championship every season I played, but it's not that hard to know the cards in your deck if you've played enough. In all honesty all you need to climb is a deck that's close to a top performing one rn

Blizzard definitely has a pattern of overwriting things (see Warcraft III)

If you're looking for fun matches, just do that. Find a friend, use some weird decks and have a blast

This was a really good idea and would have made a good video. The rules snafus and deckbuilding mistakes turned this into a great video. I haven't laughed this much at a single video in a long time lol
