Challenges playlist: • Hearts of Iron IV Chal...
The challenge is to play as the United States of America and somehow not get bored. We will try to break free from isolation as soon as possible and proceed to annex Germany, France, The United Kingdom, Italy, USSR, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Switzerland, and so on. That will include a lot of naval invasions, allying people to betray them a moment later, all that stuff. There are a few ways you can do that, but essentially you ave to quickly attack a great power. USSR or Japan is the easiest route, but here I go for broke and strike directly at the Allies. Can we play as USA and not get bored to tears? Tune in and find out.

there is an achievement in EU4 called'Dude, wheres my boat" and you have to get 20 ports from other nations, but because this is HOI4, how about you can get 20 ports......as SWITZERLAND

Germany didn't defeated France before 1940. Even if the war was declared in September 1939, Germany launched its offensive in May 1940.

Play as Yugoslavia on the hardest difficulty, don't declare war on anyone and don't change government or join a faction. The goal is to survive as Prince Paul's Yugoslavia and be intact by the end of the game. If being neutral is too hard then joining the Allies is allowed.

As Slovakia (1939 start) defeat Germany. (You can easly break out from be a puppet. You must delete all dyvision without tank. This tank division must have on upper east border with east slovakia state, and do a civil war)

Maybe it's time for some challenges on Elite rather than Regular. At this point it's hard to come up with something more challenging than all of them that you've already done, so might as well up the core difficulty of the challenges themselves.

I see your point, but I'm not necesarilly going for the mist difficult thing to do, but rather for interesting stuff. My thing is mostly political meddling, so increasing difficulty would pretty much mean more time spent on micro - and I hate micro

How about avoiding WWII challenge? Or maybe a challenge of USSR being a shield of League of Nations instead of USA that refused to join? I mean, everyone was leaving, pleas were ignored, western Europe had no forces to intervene, USA didn't want to join and USSR was denied recognition for a very long time. And considering it would be on USSR shoulders since basically 1936(Ethiopia plead for help after all if I recall right) instead of it being a 1941 build up Union, it might be a bit challenging. LL and volunteers mostly. Are challenges limited to HoI4 though? How about Victoria II with either Japan, China or Russia? Or maybe create a faction of those 3 and use strength of one to help the others and create alternate world where Asia was a seat of superpowers by 20th century.

Hey Taureor! Thanks for another great upload. I really appreciate the effort and detail you put into your videos - it really shows. I have a couple of small ideas for videos... The first is to do an Australian challenge where you successfully complete the "Protect the Dutch Colonies" focus, and maybe become a puppet powerhouse. Australia can get a bit boring, but I have fun min-maxing the navy early on to invade Siam. The second idea revolves around your "shadow puppet" strategy. I'd like to see a video explaining the intricacies of shadow puppeting, specifically how to avoid that weird thing that happens when you puppet an enemy, but after the peace deal they're still alive and not your puppet. I hope that makes sense. Cheers!

I can explain the last one easily - you either puppet or shadow puppet. If you shadow puppet, you have to take ALL the land, or the thing you describe will happen. If you want a puppet afterwards, you need to leave them with at least one province before clicking "puppet"

In the Great War mod, start as Bulgaria, win the first Balkan War (easy), then start the second balkan war and win. (main challenge)

Taureor, You know you can actually "chain" naval orders to do island hopping? I haven't seen ANY HoI4 youtubers show that off yet, it may be a hidden feature. (and something exclusive you could show) That way, you could have "hopped" from the Azores to mainland portugal, without splitting your army, and without any downtime preparing 2 seperate invasions. (the 2 seperate naval invasions will prepare at the same time)

Hey, did you know you could assign common battle orders to whole Army Groups by selecting the Field Marshal and then holding shift while creating front lines? I feel like that would be a more convenient way of drawing up the plans you're doing. Keep up the good work!

I suppose America on an easy difficulty is a way to teach new players and to focus on politics and fix crippling problems with a country’s economy where as playing as Germany is a boost to war and teaches newer players how to conquer and puppet new states

As Denmark, Norway or Sweden, take back and annex all territories that were invaded by the vikings. This includes Iceland, Greenland, Canada, pretty much every European country(except Switzerland apparently) Russia, turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Sinkiang, whichever starting countries you didn't choose, and whoever else decides to fight the viking horde.

What if you spread out alot of one width divisions, transport them, land them than change them to the template that you want? Thus it's less of a risk if they die in transit and more targets for the enemy thus ensuring more of them get through and where they need to go. Of course you would need alot of ports for that, but for France it could work.

I present to you the ultimate challengee. The one that was thought to be borderline impossible. Play BlackIce mod without it crashing. No no just kidding. Just played a germany game till 1946 without any crashes. Although I was on an earlier version for stability reasons. Anyway the challenge is to form a full combat width-division consisting of only MAUS by the end of 1943. That's it. Create the monster, unleash the Kraken.

Will you make a fresh version of USA not boring challenge? The new focus tree made changing ideologies a lot harder, and I'd love to see your way of painting the map blue in the new patches. My way was to turn communist vie the tree, then go for south america, and attack germany from the soviet lands. After that I fought the allies and that's basically it. I annexed the Philippines tho, because it prevented the japanese attack. I had a fun time doing the wars, but while I was democratic I got bored as hell, so I'm looking for a faster way to change the ideology. Anyway, hope you figure something out and make a video about it. Love your vids btw, so keep it up polish friend.
