Was watching a technical show on the TV, they have this new machine that is meant to help with this kind of sittuation, and from that i got that submerging the hands in cool, not cold but cool, water will help pretty fast with lowering temperatures if you can´t do a full body submerge. Just something to keep in mind. Remember, cool (like 8-10 degrees Celcius if memory serves) not cold.

Yeah this is serious stuff. I had heat exhaustion bordering stroke when I was a teenager 30-some years ago. I can't handle the heat worth a damn now. Hot days at work, I'm drinking close to a gallon of water in an eight hour shift & only urinating about three times. Mind your electrolytes, also!

Awesome. I have had experiences where I was near people suffering from heat exhaustion that was bordering on heat stroke and it was actually pretty scary to see how their personality changed / delirium set in when their bodies were tanking on them. This video you just posted today, even though I remember how to recognize several signs of exhaustion, helped me remember a big one : HEADACHES! Regarding heat : with the fact that most people are chronically dehydrated due to lack of understanding how much water is required for a healthy adult to operate in peak form, heat stroke is a very real and frequent danger because most people don't know any better of the risks. Then again lazy people are protected form heat stroke as they probably wouldn't be outside doing hard work anyway... ;) Anyway... Thanks for doing these.

If someone don't have Air Conditioning, a good idea is to put their feet into cool water, it will cool their body. A good container for the water is a clean dishpan. If your hiking around, you'll have to find a water source.

I am sure skinny or some other health care professional can give you the medical reasons but here is the point of view of someone who lives it. its like once you suffer a heat injury...heat stroke, heat exhaustion....its like your body's internal thermostat is messed up. it doesn't happen daily or anything but you have to really watch it when out in the heat. it can come on quickly. once that furnace that is your body gets going it can be hell to cool it back down. it sucks, but it is manageable.
