As a defender, when coming over the top of the screen, the defender should quickly reposition themselves back in front of their man so their help can also go back to their man, and defense isn't out of position. These defenses over-help too much, especially when they don't need to.

It's pretty clear Mazulla has 50% responsibility (motivation, tactics, in game changes) with the players having another 50% (efforts). They were so relaxed like a reg season game while daring the Heat shooters to shoot.

On the 8:50 screen. It should be dubbed illegal as his leg was outside shoulder width when contact was made. Same could be said about the 5:28 screen. And there are countless of other examples just in this video alone. Not to mention when he continues moving towards or through a player. Most notably the defensive foul on Jrue Holiday when Bam continuously was setting a moving screen.

Every NBA team is dependent on getting away with at least some rule breaking when compared with the past. Carrying happens pretty much every play, travels happen pretty regularly, and so do moving screens. The league has decided to loosen enforcement of this stuff and, news flash crybaby, they loosened it many years ago. The lad enforcement is nothing new and it's not unique to your poor precious Celtics. They aren't somehow getting unjustly and uniquely screwed. It's just the way the game is played now. Get over it. Your Celtics do it too, cause you'd be an idiot not to.

The defense has been questionable all year, another big issue they were having is trying to play KP in a style that he can’t do. Playing at the nail you gotta attack the basket aggressively, especially when the floor is so spread at it’s basically a 1 on 1, he can’t do that.
